Job DescriptionBookkeeper Louisville, KY | On-Site | Direct Hire Position Overview Our client, a growing public accounting firm in Louisville, is seeking a Bookkeeper to join their Client Accounting Services team. This position supports a diverse portfolio of business clients across various industries, providing day-to-day accounting and financial support. The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a client-facing environment, managing multiple engagements, and helping businesses maintain accurate financial records while meeting critical reporting deadlines. Key Responsibilities • Provide exceptional service and ongoing accounting support to a variety of clients., • Maintain accurate financial records utilizing QuickBooks and other accounting platforms., • Record and reconcile financial transactions, trial balances, and general ledger activity., • Prepare monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual financial statements., • Complete bank and credit card reconciliations., • Process and assist with payroll tax filings, sales tax returns, and related compliance requirements., • Generate accounting reports, schedules, and supporting documentation as needed., • Assist clients with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities., • Perform accounting, tax, and other client service engagements while maintaining firm quality standards., • Identify opportunities to add value for clients through additional accounting or tax-related services., • Draft routine client communications for review by firm leadership., • Manage multiple client engagements while ensuring deadlines are met consistently.Qualifications, • Coursework in Accounting through Intermediate Accounting or equivalent experience., • Minimum of two years of bookkeeping or accounting experience., • Strong working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, general ledger accounting, and financial reporting., • Understanding of payroll tax requirements and payroll-related compliance., • Experience supporting employee benefit-related financial reporting, including 401(k), Section 125, and healthcare plans., • Proven ability to balance multiple client assignments in a deadline-driven environment., • Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills., • Ability to maintain confidentiality and safeguard sensitive financial information., • Comfortable working with accounting and tax software applications., • Willingness to support busy season demands and work additional hours as needed.Preferred Technology Experience, • QuickBooks, • Thomson Reuters Accounting Suite, • Checkpoint, • PPC LibrariesWhat Makes This Opportunity Attractive, • Exposure to a wide range of industries and client businesses., • Opportunity to work closely with experienced public accounting professionals., • Growing firm with a collaborative team environment., • Diverse responsibilities spanning bookkeeping, financial reporting, payroll, tax support, and advisory services., • Long-term growth potential within a stable and expanding organization., • Medical, dental, vision + If you are interested in this job or other Accounting and Finance career opportunities from LHH Recruitment Solutions, please email Zach Gates at zach.gates@ lhh.com , or visit our website at www.lhh.com .
