Job DescriptionJob Title: Licensed Commercial Electrician (Journeyman)Job Description This role offers an opportunity for a licensed commercial electrician to contribute to commercial construction projects by installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems. You will work on-site, using your journeyman-level expertise to ensure all electrical work meets safety standards, building codes, and project specifications. Responsibilities • Install, bend, and secure conduit, including rigid conduit, according to project plans and electrical codes., • Interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to plan and execute installations on commercial construction sites., • Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures to ensure safe and reliable operation., • Perform testing and troubleshooting of electrical systems and components to identify and resolve issues efficiently., • Ensure all work complies with relevant electrical codes, safety regulations, and industry standards., • Collaborate with site supervisors, other trades, and team members to coordinate work and meet project timelines., • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in clean, safe, and organized condition., • Follow established safety procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment and adherence to site-specific safety protocols.Essential Skills, • Active journeyman electrician license with commercial electrical experience., • Proficiency in bending and installing conduit, including rigid conduit, on commercial projects., • Strong understanding of commercial electrical systems, components, and installation practices., • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications., • Solid knowledge of applicable electrical codes and safety regulations., • Capability to troubleshoot and repair electrical issues in a commercial construction environment., • Comfort working on active construction sites and adapting to changing project requirements.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Licensed commercial electrician credential., • Prior experience on large-scale or multi-phase commercial construction projects., • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship., • Effective communication skills to work with supervisors, contractors, and team members., • Ability to manage time and tasks to meet project deadlines., • Willingness to follow site rules, safety guidelines, and quality control processes.Why Work Here? Work Environment Work takes place on active commercial construction sites, where you will be exposed to typical construction conditions such as noise, varying weather, and physical activity throughout the day. You will work with standard electrical tools, equipment, and materials, including conduit and associated hardware. The role may require standing, walking, climbing, and lifting as part of daily tasks. Appropriate work attire and personal protective equipment are required in accordance with site safety policies. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Louisville, KY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
