Job DescriptionHiring General Production Workers- Start ASAP!!1st shift$18-20/hrCharlotte, NC Job Responsibilities • Move A-frame racks, roll bins, carts, and fabricated steel components safely throughout the facility., • Transport materials to and from the wash bay area to support continuous production flow., • Clean and prepare metal components before assembly, welding, and finishing processes., • Stage, organize, and label parts for production teams to ensure efficient workflow., • Assist with loading and unloading materials between departments as needed., • Support material movement for multiple departments, including fabrication, assembly, welding, and finishing., • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in and around the wash bay and production floor., • Follow all safety procedures, work instructions, and quality standards at all times., • Work collaboratively with production teams to meet schedules and production goals., • Support production operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment by stepping in where help is needed., • Communicate clearly with supervisors and team members about material status, issues, or delays., • Handle general production tasks such as lifting boxes, moving product, and assisting with basic material handling activities. Essential Skills • Previous experience in manufacturing, warehouse, construction, landscaping, or general labor., • Ability to push, pull, and move A-frame racks, carts, roll bins, and materials throughout the shift., • Comfortable working on your feet for 8–10+ hours per day in a fast-paced environment., • Strong work ethic, reliable attendance, and a positive attitude., • Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions and safety procedures., • Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to help in multiple departments as needed., • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while staying productive., • Comfortable working around general production activities, including lifting boxes and handling materials., • Dependable, safety-minded approach with a strong sense of urgency. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Material handling experience, especially in manufacturing or warehouse environments., • Experience moving large fabricated steel parts or similar heavy materials., • Forklift or pallet jack experience., • Experience in manufacturing or metal fabrication., • Experience working around welding, assembly, or industrial production environments., • Interest in learning multiple manufacturing processes such as assembly, welding, material handling, or finishing., • Desire for a long-term career opportunity with room for growth in a production setting., • Comfort working in a startup-style environment where processes and systems are still evolving. Work Environment • The role is based in a brand-new, clean, and organized manufacturing facility in Charlotte, NC, currently in startup mode with a small on-site team and significant ongoing investment in growth., • Leadership is highly visible and works closely with production employees in a collaborative, hands-on environment., • The facility manufactures large-scale generator enclosures and industrial power systems that support data center infrastructure, with future production including emissions-control and DEF exhaust management systems., • You will be exposed to the full production flow, including raw material receiving, fabrication and forming (press brake, laser, forming operations), wash bay and surface preparation, assembly, MIG welding on carbon steel components, laser processing, paint and powder coat applications, and final inspection and shipping., • The operation is ramping up in phases, with plans to increase headcount, add shifts, and expand skilled trades and leadership roles. Shift: 1st shift Pay Rate: $18-20/hr. Can start ASAP!! Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Charlotte, NC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
