Job Description Job Title: Construction Laborer Job Description This role involves hands-on construction labor focused on pool renovation work, including concrete chipping and pipe removal, on a short-term assignment lasting approximately 4–6 weeks. Responsibilities • Perform physical construction labor on pool renovation projects, including chipping and breaking out existing concrete surfaces., • Remove and handle piping and related materials safely and efficiently as part of the renovation scope., • Support concrete-related tasks such as forming, demolition, cleanup, and preparation of work areas., • Follow all OSHA safety standards and site-specific safety protocols at all times., • Work outdoors for the full shift in varying weather conditions while maintaining productivity and safety., • Maintain perfect attendance and punctuality throughout the 4–6 week assignment, as the schedule is time-sensitive., • Collaborate with other construction team members and follow direction from site supervisors to complete daily tasks., • Use hand tools and power tools appropriate for concrete chipping, demolition, and general construction labor., • Keep the work area clean and organized, removing debris and materials as needed to ensure a safe environment. Essential Skills • OSHA 10-hour safety certification., • At least 1 year of construction or concrete experience., • Demonstrated ability to perform heavy physical labor, including concrete chipping and material removal., • Ability to work reliably in an outdoor construction environment for the full shift (7:00 AM to 4:00 PM)., • Ability to commit to and maintain consistent attendance for a 4–6 week assignment. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Background in construction, roofing, landscaping, or carpentry is preferred., • Experience with concrete forming and chipping is highly beneficial., • Comfort working on outdoor construction systems similar to lock or infrastructure projects., • Ability to work effectively as part of a labor crew and follow instructions in a fast-paced environment.Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Buffalo, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
