THE OPPORTUNITY As a Superintendent III, you lead HBC's largest, most complex, and most sensitive projects, including occupied renovations, phased healthcare work, demanding hospitality projects, and high-profile client engagements. You are entrusted with assignments where experience, leadership, and sound judgment are critical to success. Beyond delivering exceptional projects, you mentor junior superintendents and help elevate field leadership standards across the company. WHAT YOU'LL DO SENIOR PROJECT LEADERSHIP • Lead all field operations to deliver projects in accordance with design documents, budget requirements, and project schedules., • Supervise field personnel, Assistant Superintendents, and other field leaders while evaluating performance and developing talent., • Mentor junior superintendents and contribute to field training and operational best practices., • Manage project startup and closeout activities from beginning to end., • Perform estimating and pricing of change orders and small projects. SCHEDULING & COORDINATION • Develop and manage project schedules in partnership with the Project Manager., • Produce monthly schedule updates and weekly three-week look-ahead schedules., • Lead trade partner coordination and project review meetings., • Manage site logistics, project phasing, and operations on occupied or constrained sites., • Coordinate with HBC's Virtual Design & Construction team on constructability reviews, clash detection, and project routing., • Procure and ensure timely delivery of tools, equipment, and materials. QUALITY, INSPECTIONS & CLIENT RELATIONSHIPS • Lead QA/QC efforts and pre-installation coordination across all project disciplines., • Schedule, coordinate, and participate in project inspections while maintaining compliance with applicable codes and regulations., • Manage project documentation, including submittals, RFIs, permit logs, as-builts, cost coding, and Procore records., • Maintain accurate and timely project documentation., • Build strong relationships with owners, architects, consultants, and inspectors., • Lead warranty follow-up efforts and promote long-term client satisfaction and repeat business. SAFETY & LOSS PREVENTION • Champion HBC's safety culture and ensure compliance with OSHA standards, company policies, and site-specific safety plans., • Conduct and document weekly toolbox talks and weekly jobsite safety inspections., • Maintain SDS files, safety signage, emergency contacts, fire extinguishers, first-aid supplies, and PPE inventories., • Partner with the Safety Department to develop and maintain site-specific safety programs., • Identify and promptly address jobsite hazards and deficiencies., • Complete incident reporting, investigations, and required follow-up activities, including coordination with HR when necessary. WHAT YOU BRING EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION • High school diploma or equivalent required., • Minimum 10 years of commercial construction experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience., • Strong knowledge of CSI MasterFormat divisions and commercial construction practices., • Experience managing complex, occupied, phased, or technically challenging projects., • Demonstrated ability to mentor, develop, and lead field teams. CERTIFICATIONS & LICENSES • OSHA 30-Hour certification required., • First Aid/CPR certification required., • AGC Supervisory Training Program (STP) completed or willingness to complete., • Certification for any tools used by workers under direct supervision., • Valid Florida driver's license and reliable transportation required. SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES • Advanced proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office., • Strong leadership, communication, and client relationship skills., • Excellent problem-solving abilities and sound decision-making judgment., • Ability to successfully manage high-profile and high-stakes projects.
