Job Description Evanston, IL | Full-time | On-site Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. | No weekends Salary: $101,000-$110,000 per year McKenzie/MDT Preferred | Leadership Growth Opportunity Skillz Physical Therapy is hiring an experienced Illinois-licensed Physical Therapist for a full-time outpatient orthopedic role in Evanston. This position is for a PT who wants strong compensation, predictable weekday hours, and a clinical environment built around careful assessment, patient education, and sound clinical reasoning. McKenzie/MDT training through Part D, Cert. MDT, or higher is strongly preferred, but we will also consider an experienced outpatient orthopedic PT with strong assessment, treatment-planning, and patient-communication skills. What This Role Offers • $101,000-$110,000 salary range, • Compensation negotiable based on experience, MDT credentials, and leadership ability, • $2,000 sign-on bonus for qualified PTs, • Higher sign-on bonus available for McKenzie/MDT credentials, • Monday-Friday schedule, 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., • No weekend requirement, • Typical patient volume of 8-10 patients per day, • 60-minute evaluations, • Orthopedic, spine, sports, and post-surgical case mix, • Opportunity to grow into clinical leadership, • Direct reporting to Clinical Director About The Role Skillz Physical Therapy serves active adults, seniors, and student athletes with orthopedic, spine, sports, and post-surgical conditions. Common cases include back pain, knee pain, shoulder & neck pain, foot/ankle pain, sports injuries, and post-surgical rehabilitation. The clinic emphasizes assessment-first care: identifying what appears to be driving the patient’s symptoms, educating the patient clearly, and building a treatment plan around their findings, goals, strengths, and limitations. Responsibilities • Evaluate and treat outpatient orthopedic, spine, sports, and post-surgical patients, • Use clinical reasoning to assess symptom behavior, movement limitations, functional deficits, and patient goals, • Develop individualized plans of care based on evaluation findings, • Educate patients in clear, practical language they can understand, • Provide skilled treatment using appropriate exercise, education, hands-on care, and clinic-supported treatment approaches, • Use patient-reported outcome measures to track progress, • Coordinate appropriately with aides and PTAs, • Complete documentation within 24-48 hours, • Participate in clinical discussion, feedback, and case review as appropriate, • Maintain a professional, respectful, patient-centered presence in the clinic Required Qualifications • Active Illinois Physical Therapist license, • Current CPR certification, • 3-5 years of physical therapy experience, • Outpatient orthopedic experience, • Strong orthopedic assessment and clinical reasoning skills, • Strong patient-education and communication skills, • Ability to manage a caseload independently, • Consistent documentation habits, • Professional communication with patients and team members Preferred Qualifications • McKenzie/MDT training through Part D, Cert.
