Job DescriptionAssemblerJob Responsibilities • Assemble mechanical and electrical components into finished products according to specifications, blueprints, schematics, diagrams, and work orders., • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and torque wrenches to install and secure components accurately and safely., • Read and interpret manufacturing documentation including blueprints, bills of materials (BOMs), front views, drawings, and order entry information., • Verify assemblies are level, square, properly aligned, and meet structural and quality requirements., • Inspect components and materials for dents, scratches, defects, and other nonconformances before and during assembly., • Perform visual quality inspections throughout the assembly process to ensure compliance with company standards., • Assemble copper bussing according to design specifications, maintaining proper spacing and alignment requirements., • Assemble switchboards, panelboards, and other electrical products following written and verbal instructions., • Identify missing components, troubleshoot assembly issues, and take corrective action to maintain quality and productivity., • Communicate production status, material shortages, and quality concerns to supervisors and team members., • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and root cause analysis activities., • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while properly storing and using tools and equipment., • Work independently and collaboratively to achieve production goals and meet customer requirements., • Support additional production and assembly activities as assigned.Required Skills & Qualifications, • High school diploma or equivalent., • Previous experience as an assembler in a manufacturing environment., • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, diagrams, and technical drawings., • Experience with both mechanical and electrical assembly processes., • Proficiency using hand tools, power tools, and torque wrenches., • Strong understanding of bills of materials (BOMs), manufacturing documentation, and assembly procedures., • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality standards., • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities., • Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment., • Ability to identify defective or nonconforming materials and components., • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing setting while maintaining accuracy., • Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs throughout the workday.Preferred Qualifications, • Experience assembling switchboards, panelboards, or similar electrical products., • Basic computer skills for accessing manufacturing documentation and work instructions., • Familiarity with CAD software for reviewing assembly and structural designs., • Strong organizational and time-management skills., • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities effectively., • Knowledge of electrical assembly, mechanical assembly, schematics, blueprints, and manufacturing processes.Why Join Us?, • Work for a rapidly growing manufacturing organization supporting critical infrastructure and electrification projects., • Clear opportunities for advancement into quality, machine operation, and leadership positions., • Extensive training and hands-on development with guidance from experienced team leads., • Opportunity for internal growth and potential transfers within affiliated facilities., • Supportive culture focused on trust, continuous improvement, and employee development., • Long-term career opportunities within a modern manufacturing environment.Work Environment, • Second-shift position in a modern manufacturing facility., • Work in a fast-paced production environment with machinery, equipment, and varying temperatures., • Frequent standing, walking, and occasional lifting of 25–50 lbs., • Required PPE includes steel-toed boots, safety glasses, hearing protection, and appropriate protective clothing., • Comprehensive onboarding and training during the first week before assignment to a production team., • Monday–Thursday schedule with extended shifts, providing a consistent four-day workweek., • Team-oriented environment with strong supervisory support and ongoing skill development opportunities. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hanover, MD. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
