Job Description Job Title: Supply Chain Manager Job Description The Supply Chain Manager leads the full end‑to‑end supply chain across international and domestic operations. This role owns material flow from supplier sourcing through production planning, inventory management, logistics, and customer delivery, ensuring reliability and performance for highly engineered, long‑lead, and tightly controlled specialty materials. It is a pivotal, high‑impact leadership position that drives cross‑functional alignment with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Sales to secure on‑time delivery, supply continuity, and operational excellence during a period of significant growth and scale. Responsibilities • Own the full supply chain lifecycle across plan, source, make, deliver, and return activities., • Develop and execute a comprehensive supply chain strategy aligned with company growth, capacity expansion, and new product roadmaps., • Build resilience for critical, long‑lead, and sole‑source materials through dual sourcing strategies, safety stock modeling, and proactive risk mitigation., • Lead demand planning, master production scheduling (MPS), and material requirements planning (MRP) to synchronize supply with forecast and production schedules., • Drive collaborative Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) and Integrated Business Planning (IBP) processes to align supply, demand, and financial objectives., • Optimize inventory turns and working capital while maintaining strong customer service levels and material availability., • Lead supplier selection, qualification, and performance management for raw materials, components, and services., • Negotiate pricing, long‑term agreements, and commercial terms with domestic and international suppliers to achieve cost, quality, and delivery objectives., • Manage supplier scorecards, regular business reviews, and corrective action plans to improve supplier performance., • Partner closely with Production to ensure timely material availability and minimize manufacturing downtime., • Oversee inbound and outbound logistics, warehousing operations, trade compliance, and freight optimization to ensure efficient and cost‑effective material flow., • Ensure full traceability, lot control, and chain‑of‑custody for specialty materials throughout the supply chain., • Collaborate with Engineering and Quality teams to manage material specifications, handle non‑conformances, and resolve supplier quality issues., • Ensure compliance with ITAR/EAR, REACH, RoHS, conflict minerals regulations, ISO 9001, AS9100, and related quality and regulatory standards., • Maintain and continuously update business continuity plans and supply risk management frameworks for critical materials and suppliers., • Manage international and domestic trade and import/export compliance across the supply chain., • Define, track, and report key performance indicators such as on‑time in‑full (OTIF), inventory turns, supplier quality metrics, landed cost, and purchase price variance (PPV)., • Drive Lean and Six Sigma initiatives to reduce waste, lower cost, and shorten cycle times across supply chain processes., • Lead, coach, and develop a growing supply chain team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Essential Skills • Proven experience in end‑to‑end supply chain management, covering planning, sourcing, manufacturing support, logistics, and customer delivery., • Experience in procurement, vendor management, and supplier performance management for raw materials, components, and services., • Expertise in inventory management, including demand planning, MPS, and MRP to align supply with forecasts and production schedules., • Hands‑on experience with logistics operations, including inbound/outbound freight, warehousing, and trade compliance., • Proficiency with SAP or similar ERP systems for planning, procurement, inventory, and logistics processes., • Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional initiatives with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Sales., • Experience defining, monitoring, and improving supply chain KPIs such as OTIF, inventory turns, supplier quality, landed cost, and PPV., • Ability to lead, coach, and develop supply chain teams in a dynamic, growth‑oriented environment., • Knowledge of ITAR/EAR, REACH, RoHS, conflict minerals, ISO 9001, and AS9100 compliance requirements., • Experience applying Lean and/or Six Sigma methodologies to drive continuous improvement in supply chain operations. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Experience working with specialty materials such as advanced alloys, ceramics, composites, engineered metals, polymers, or chemicals., • Experience managing long‑lead, sole‑source, or regulated materials in complex supply chains., • Experience in aerospace, defense, medical, energy, or other quality‑intensive and regulated environments., • Professional certifications such as APICS CPIM, APICS CSCP, CPSM, or Six Sigma are highly valued., • Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience in production and supply chain settings., • Strong knowledge of export controls and related compliance frameworks for international trade., • Advanced education such as a master’s degree or MBA is preferred.
