Job DescriptionJob Title: Production AssemblerJob Description The Production Assembler assembles, programs, and tests custom products in a team-based, lean manufacturing environment. This role focuses on producing high-quality assemblies while following established safety procedures and supporting continuous improvement efforts across the production line. Responsibilities • Assemble custom products using mechanical, electrical, and wiring techniques according to schematics and blueprints., • Program and test assembled products to ensure they meet functional and quality specifications., • Perform wire harness assembly, including routing, cutting, crimping, and connecting wires and cables., • Complete electrical assembly tasks such as mounting components, making electrical connections, and verifying proper operation., • Carry out mechanical assembly work using hand tools and power tools to build and secure components., • Follow lean manufacturing practices to minimize waste, improve workflow, and support continuous improvement initiatives., • Inspect assemblies during and after production to verify quality and adherence to standards., • Handle and move materials and assemblies safely, including lifting items up to 40 pounds as needed., • Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules and resolve assembly or testing issues., • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with workplace safety guidelines.Essential Skills, • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment (Level 1)., • Minimum of 2 years of assembly experience for more advanced responsibilities (Level 2)., • Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints for electrical and mechanical assemblies., • Hands-on experience with wire harness assembly and electrical assembly work., • Experience assembling panels, wire harnesses, and other electrical control components (Level 2)., • Proficiency using hand tools and power tools for production and assembly tasks., • Ability to perform wiring tasks accurately and safely., • Capability to lift and move up to 40 pounds as part of regular duties., • Strong attention to detail to ensure product quality and adherence to specifications., • Commitment to following safety procedures and quality standards in a manufacturing setting.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Experience working in a lean manufacturing environment., • Comfort working in a team-based production setting with shared goals and responsibilities., • Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical principles used in assembly work., • Ability to follow written work instructions, diagrams, and standardized processes., • Willingness to participate in continuous improvement activities and suggest process enhancements., • Reliable work habits and punctuality for shift-based production operations.Why Work Here? Work Environment This position operates in a production and assembly facility that follows lean manufacturing principles and emphasizes safety and quality. You work on the 2nd shift, Monday through Friday, from 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. The role involves regular use of hand tools and power tools, working at assembly stations, and handling components and materials that may weigh up to 40 pounds. The environment is team-based, with a focus on meeting production goals, maintaining organized work areas, and adhering to established manufacturing processes. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Milwaukee, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.25 - $22.00/hr.
