Our Professional Services team enables our clients to advance our roadmap by developing and implementing solutions to address their business objectives. Univeris needs a dynamic Product Owner, Services to help define, sell and execute service-based development projects to bring our clients new and enhanced product solutions and capabilities. The role has significant interactions outside the local team, including working with customers, internal stakeholders, software engineers and architects. /p h3The Role /h3 pThe Product Owner, Services is embedded in a cross‑functional Product Team and fulfills the primary accountabilities outlined below for client-sponsored projects. /p pDefining and communicating the requirements and business value in collaboration with the client, solution engineering and other stakeholders; and documenting those requirements in a Product Requirements Document and Statement of Work. The Product Owner, Services plays an important role in the sale and scoping of service-based engagements. /p pMaintaining and prioritizing a sufficient backlog of ready-to-work backlog items to facilitate Sprint Planning. /p pAccepting User Stories as being completed based on their established acceptance criteria and Definition of Done. In so doing, the Product Owner also fulfills a critical quality assurance function, focusing primarily on fitness for use. /p pThe Product Owner fulfills the following responsibilities for all assigned Products and Projects /p pProactively participate in release and product increment planning. /p pContributing to the Product Roadmap to realize the goals of the Product Vision and Strategy. /p pCollaborating with Product Team members in writing stories, taking accountability for having a backlog of ready stories and prioritizing them for Sprint Planning. /p pCollaborating with Scrum Masters to practice agility and capitalize on Scrum to maximize the product value and ensure continuous improvement. /p pEnsuring that User Stories are “ready” for development to start work according to an established "Definition of Ready" in collaboration with the Product Team. /p pEnsuring each User Story has the necessary Acceptance Criteria defined in collaboration with the Product Team. /p pCoordinating dependencies and activities with other Product Owners as necessary. /p pSharing market and client information and business insights with the Product Team to give context to the requirements to help ensure that the right problems are being solved by the team. /p pContinuously developing relevant product domain expertise and sharing that expertise with the Product Team. /p pTracking progress towards Product Increment and Release objectives and communicating to the organization. /p pPrioritizing customer-reported deficiencies, defects and enhancements as part of the Product Backlog. /p pLeading Program Increment (PI) planning activities for the Product Team. /p pParticipating in all Agile ceremonies with the Product Team, including daily standups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, demos and retrospectives. /p pPresenting the summary of work for the Product Team in Sprint Reviews and inviting appropriate stakeholders to give feedback. /p pUnderstanding the Product Vision and Product Strategy and articulating it to the Product Team. /p pReviewing and contributing to the user and technical guides to ensure that they are updated and completed to coincide with Release milestones, and ensures that all product documentation follows corporate standards and practices. /p pPreparing product release documentation. /p pPreparation of product collateral to ensure relevance and accuracy. /p pRepresenting the voice of the customer within the Product Team to ensure that solutions are built to deliver value to the customer. /p pContinuously building and maintaining productive relationships with customers. /p h3The Successful Candidate /h3 h3Your Formal Qualifications /h3 pA minimum of 2 years of industry experience as a Product Owner in an Agile software development environment. /p pDemonstrable understanding of Agile product management principles with Scrum. /p pWorking knowledge of the Atlassian suite (Jira Confluence) or similar tools. /p pCSPO certification or equivalent work experience. /p pWorking knowledge of SQL. /p pWorking knowledge of APIs. /p pWorking knowledge and experience using AI tools, including ChatGPT/Claude/Gemini/Figma Make to create Product Artifacts. /p pA business or technical degree. /p pProfessional proficiency in English and Spanish. /p h3Your Proven Qualities /h3 pLearning agility - the ability to quickly adapt to new business domains and technical concepts and apply them in delivering value. /p pLeadership - proven ability to lead a high-performance team and deliver in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. /p pCollaboration - able to work collaboratively in a team-of-teams development environment. /p pCommunication - able to clearly and concisely communicate in verbal and written form to both internal and customer stakeholders, with emphasis on understanding the customer's perspective. /p pOrganization - being very consistent and structured in managing information, documentation, agile boards and other artifacts produced. /p pExperience working as an agile Product Owner in a professional services organization, delivering software development solutions for clients. /p pExperience working in WealthTech, FinTech or Enterprise software. /p pKnowledge of the different wealth management services (advisory, discretionary, etc.). /p pDemonstrated experience moving into new business domains and quickly adapting. /p pExperience trading stocks or making personal investment decisions. /p h3The Work Environment /h3 pThis opportunity is offered at one of our offices: Toronto, Canada, or Madrid, Spain.
