Our Professional Services team enables our clients to advance our roadmap by developing and implementing solutions to address their business objectives. Univeris needs a dynamic Product Owner, Services to help define, sell and execute service‑based development projects to bring our clients new and enhanced product solutions and capabilities. The role has significant interactions outside the local team, including working with customers, internal stakeholders, software engineers and architects. /p h3The Role /h3 pThe Product Owner, Services is embedded in a cross‑functional Product Team and fulfills the primary accountabilities outlined below for client‑sponsored projects. /p ul liDefining and communicating the requirements and business value in collaboration with the client, solution engineering and other stakeholders; and documenting those requirements in a Product Requirements Document and Statement of Work. The Product Owner, Services plays an important role in the sale and scoping of service‑based engagements. /li liMaintaining and prioritizing a sufficient backlog of ready‑to‑work backlog items to facilitate Sprint Planning. /li liAccepting User Stories as being completed based on their established acceptance criteria and Definition of Done. In so doing, the Product Owner also fulfills a critical quality assurance function, focusing primarily on fitness for use. /li /ul pThe Product Owner fulfills the following responsibilities for all assigned Products and Projects: /p ul liProactively participate in release and product increment planning. /li liContributing to the Product Roadmap to realize the goals of the Product Vision and Strategy. /li liCollaborating with Product Team members in writing stories, taking accountability for having a backlog of ready stories and prioritizing them for Sprint Planning. /li liCollaborating with Scrum Masters to practice agility and capitalize on Scrum to maximize the product value and ensure continuous improvement. /li liEnsuring that User Stories are “ready” for development to start work according to an established “Definition of Ready” in collaboration with the Product Team. /li liEnsuring each User Story has the necessary Acceptance Criteria defined in collaboration with the Product Team. /li liCoordinating dependencies and activities with other Product Owners as necessary. /li liSharing market and client information and business insights with the Product Team to give context to the requirements to help ensure that the right problems are being solved by the team. /li liContinuously developing relevant product domain expertise and sharing that expertise with the Product Team. /li liTracking progress towards Product Increment and Release objectives and communicating to the organization. /li liPrioritizing customer‑reported deficiencies, defects and enhancements as part of the Product Backlog. /li liLeading Program Increment (PI) planning activities for the Product Team. /li liParticipating in all Agile ceremonies with the Product Team, including daily stand‑ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, demos and retrospectives. /li liPresenting the summary of work for the Product Team in Sprint Reviews and inviting appropriate stakeholders to give feedback. /li liUnderstanding the Product Vision and Product Strategy and articulating it to the Product Team. /li liReviewing and contributing to the user and technical guides to ensure that they are updated and completed to coincide with Release milestones, and ensuring that all product documentation follows corporate standards and practices. /li liPreparing product release documentation. /li liPreparation of product collateral to ensure relevance and accuracy. /li liRepresenting the voice of the customer within the Product Team to ensure that solutions are built to deliver value to the customer. /li liContinuously building and maintaining productive relationships with customers. /li /ul h3The Successful Candidate /h3 h3Your Formal Qualifications /h3 ul liA minimum of 2 years of industry experience as a Product Owner in an Agile software development environment. /li liDemonstrable understanding of Agile product management principles with Scrum. /li liWorking knowledge of the Atlassian suite (Jira Confluence) or similar tools. /li liCSPO certification or equivalent work experience. /li liWorking knowledge of SQL. /li liWorking knowledge of APIs. /li liWorking knowledge and experience using AI tools, including ChatGPT/Claude/Gemini/Figma Make to create Product Artifacts. /li liA business or technical degree. /li liProfessional proficiency in English and Spanish. /li /ul h3Your Proven Qualities /h3 ul liLearning agility - the ability to quickly adapt to new business domains and technical concepts and apply them in delivering value. /li liLeadership - proven ability to lead a high‑performance team and deliver in a fast‑paced and dynamic environment. /li liCollaboration - able to work collaboratively in a team‑of‑teams development environment. /li liCommunication - able to clearly and concisely communicate in verbal and written form to both internal and customer stakeholders, with emphasis on understanding the customer’s perspective. /li liOrganization - being very consistent and structured in managing information, documentation, agile boards and other artifacts produced. /li /ul h3Extras You Might Offer As Tiebreakers /h3 ul liExperience working as an agile Product Owner in a professional services organization, delivering software development solutions for clients. /li liExperience working in WealthTech, FinTech or Enterprise software. /li liKnowledge of the different wealth management services (advisory, discretionary, etc.). /li liDemonstrated experience moving into new business domains and quickly adapting. /li liExperience trading stocks or making personal investment decisions. /li /ul h3The Work Environment /h3 ul liThis opportunity is offered at one of our offices: Toronto, Canada, or Madrid, Spain.
