Job DescriptionJob Title: Warehouse AssociateJob Description The Warehouse Associate supports the shipping department by handling materials, processing incoming and outgoing product, and maintaining accurate inventory records. You work as part of a collaborative team while your individual performance and contributions are tracked. This role involves fast-paced, physically demanding work in a busy warehouse environment and plays a key part in ensuring orders are picked, packed, and shipped accurately and on time. Responsibilities • Handle materials in the shipping department, including receiving, moving, and organizing product and pallets., • Perform shipping and receiving activities such as unloading, loading, and staging product for outbound and inbound shipments., • Use RF scanners to scan, track, and verify inventory and orders according to established procedures., • Pick customer orders accurately from designated locations and prepare them for shipment., • Support inventory control by counting, verifying, and reconciling product quantities as directed., • Navigate narrow aisles between pallets safely and efficiently while maintaining productivity., • Operate around electric pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment, following all safety rules and yielding to certified operators., • Work at elevated heights using a 12-foot staircase ladder when required to access product or storage locations., • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with warehouse standards., • Follow all warehouse policies, including restrictions on personal electronics, and adhere to all safety and productivity guidelines., • Collaborate with team members and the shipping department leadership to meet daily performance and quality goals.Essential Skills, • 0–6 months of related experience in a warehouse, material handling, receiving, returns, shipping, or order picking role., • Ability to walk at a fast pace for 8–12 hours per day on a consistent basis., • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds independently, potentially for 8–12 hours per day., • Comfort working at heights, including using a 12-foot staircase ladder., • Basic familiarity with warehouse operations such as shipping, receiving, and inventory control., • Ability to use RF scanners for inventory and order processing, or willingness to learn., • Capacity to work safely and efficiently in a busy environment with narrow aisles and active equipment., • Reliability and consistency in meeting performance expectations in an individually tracked role.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Experience as a material handler, warehouse associate, or in a similar logistics or distribution role., • Prior exposure to inventory control processes, including counting, verifying, and organizing stock., • Comfort working around electric pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment., • Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate order picking and inventory tracking., • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and adhere to established procedures., • Willingness to comply fully with workplace policies, including restrictions on personal electronics.Why Work Here? Work Environment This role is based in a warehouse shipping department with pallets of product and empty pallets laid out on the floor, creating narrow aisles between them. You work in close proximity to several other team members and around electric pallet jacks operated by certified staff, requiring constant awareness of safety and surroundings. The position involves long periods of fast-paced walking and frequent lifting throughout an 8–12 hour shift. Personal cellphones, smart watches, and other electronics are not permitted in the warehouse to maintain safety and focus. Acceptable footwear includes sneakers, boots, or steel-toe shoes, reflecting the industrial nature of the environment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Flower Mound, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
