Job DescriptionReceptionist Facility: Wedgewood Healthcare and Rehabilitation Location: Lakeland, FL Schedule: Full-Time | 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM Pay Rate: $16.00 per hour Join Our Team as a Receptionist! Wedgewood Healthcare and Rehabilitation is seeking a friendly, organized, and professional Receptionist to join our team in Lakeland, Florida. As the first point of contact for residents, families, visitors, vendors, and staff, you will help create a warm, welcoming environment while providing essential administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of our facility. Key Responsibilities Greet residents, families, visitors, vendors, and staff in a courteous and professional manner. Answer, screen, and direct incoming telephone calls promptly and efficiently. Manage visitor sign-in/sign-out procedures and issue visitor badges as needed. Provide general information and assistance to residents, guests, and staff. Operate a multi-line telephone system, paging system, voicemail, and call transfers. Assist department managers with clerical and administrative duties. Perform filing, typing, scanning, copying, and data entry. Maintain resident directories, office records, and contact information. Support payroll and Business Office functions as assigned. Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and packages. Track administrative deadlines, renewals, and other office activities. Order and maintain office supplies following purchasing procedures. Operate standard office equipment, including copiers, printers, scanners, and fax machines. Maintain confidentiality of resident and facility information in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of one (1) year of receptionist, clerical, or administrative experience required. Previous experience in a healthcare, rehabilitation, or long-term care setting preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills. Professional appearance with a positive, customer-service-oriented attitude. Ability to remain calm, organized, and effective in a fast-paced environment. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
