Job DescriptionJob Title: Data Entry ClerkJob Description This temporary Data Entry Clerk position (3–6 month project) is based in Lexington, KY and is ideal for someone who thrives in a structured, accuracy-driven environment. You will play a key role in maintaining data integrity and supporting compliance by entering, reviewing, and organizing contract and billing information using Microsoft Word and Excel. Responsibilities • Accurately enter contract and billing information into Microsoft Word and Excel templates., • Review source documents to confirm billing terms, rates, and effective dates prior to data entry., • Verify entered data against original documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness., • Maintain organized electronic files and documentation to support audit and compliance requirements., • Support compliance tracking by ensuring all records are up to date, complete, and easily accessible., • Identify and flag discrepancies or missing information and follow up to resolve issues., • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate data processing., • Follow structured processes and procedures to maintain consistency and data integrity., • Handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality at all times., • Contribute to quality assurance efforts by double-checking work and adhering to regulatory and compliance standards.Essential Skills, • At least 6 months of experience in data entry, compliance, or billing support., • Experience in data entry, billing, administrative support, or customer service., • Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in all work., • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, including data entry, formatting, and sorting., • Ability to follow structured processes and workflows consistently., • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately., • Good organizational skills with the ability to manage electronic files and documentation., • Comfort working in a clerical and office-based environment., • Ability to review and understand basic contract and billing information., • Strong commitment to quality assurance and data integrity.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Experience supporting compliance, banking, or regulatory environments., • Background in invoicing, audit, or regulatory compliance processes., • Familiarity with contract review and documentation practices., • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel., • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and communicate clearly., • Willingness to learn and participate in ongoing training., • Interest in growing within an organization that promotes from within.Work Environment This role follows a Monday through Friday schedule, typically 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., in a cubicle-based office setting in Lexington, KY. The environment is structured and process-driven, with a strong focus on accuracy, compliance, and organized documentation. A potential hybrid schedule may be available, with Monday and Friday remote and Tuesday through Thursday in-office, depending on business needs. All necessary equipment will be provided, and you will work primarily with Microsoft Word, Excel, and other standard office tools. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Lexington, KY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
