Job Description Production Technician/ Assembly Technician Job Description Join a growing manufacturing team building and finishing custom metal generator enclosures. This hands-on role offers the opportunity to work in either the Fabrication Department, where enclosures are constructed from raw materials, or the Assembly & Finish Department, where final installation, detailing, and quality checks are completed. Ideal candidates enjoy working with tools, reading blueprints, and contributing to the production of high-quality industrial products. Responsibilities • Assist with the fabrication and assembly of metal generator enclosures while following production standards and quality requirements., • Support final assembly operations, ensuring all components are installed, aligned, and secured correctly., • Operate a variety of hand and power tools to cut, drill, fit, assemble, and finish metal components., • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions to complete assigned tasks accurately., • Perform minor repairs, adjustments, and modifications to meet quality and production specifications., • Collaborate with team members to achieve daily production goals and maintain workflow efficiency., • Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work area at all times., • Follow all company safety policies and wear required PPE while working in production areas., • Assist with general shop duties, including material handling, staging parts, and equipment setup as needed.Required Qualifications, • Comfortable using hand tools and power tools in a manufacturing, construction, or industrial environment., • Experience in one or more of the following areas: construction, carpentry, fabrication, metalworking, concrete work, or landscaping., • Ability to read and follow blueprints, diagrams, and detailed work instructions., • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to perform physical, hands-on work throughout the shift., • High attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work., • Dependable work ethic with a strong focus on safety and teamwork.Preferred Qualifications, • Previous experience working in manufacturing, production, fabrication, or industrial settings., • Experience using fabrication tools and equipment such as grinders, drills, saws, or metal assembly tools., • Experience in construction or skilled trades with transferable mechanical skills., • Ability to work in multiple production areas based on workload and business needs., • Willingness to learn new processes and expand technical skills within the operation.Why Join Us?, • Long-term, stable employment opportunity, • Competitive benefits package and retirement options, • Opportunity to learn fabrication, assembly, and industrial manufacturing skills, • Team-oriented environment focused on safety, quality, and employee development, • Career growth opportunities within a well-established organizationWork Environment This position is based in a manufacturing facility with both indoor and outdoor work areas. Employees may work in fabrication, assembly, or finishing departments depending on experience and production needs. The role requires standing for extended periods, lifting and moving materials, and regularly using tools and production equipment. Safety glasses, steel-toe boots, and other required PPE must be worn while on the production floor. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jacksonville, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $22.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
