Job DescriptionJob Title: Electrician ForemanJob Description This role leads electrical work across residential and light commercial projects, including new construction, fit-outs, and service work. You install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems, oversee field activities, and ensure all work meets code and quality standards. You work hands-on with a team of mechanics, technicians, and apprentices while coordinating with project stakeholders to deliver safe, reliable electrical installations. Responsibilities • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems in residential and commercial settings, including new construction, fit-outs, and service projects., • Perform rough-in, trim-out, and finish electrical work to a high standard of quality and safety., • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to plan and execute electrical installations., • Install and terminate panels, breakers, switches, lighting, receptacles, and service equipment., • Pull wire and install conduit, including EMT, PVC, and rigid, and complete branch circuit wiring., • Perform service upgrades and panel replacements in existing buildings and multi-use facilities., • Troubleshoot electrical issues, identify root causes, and perform efficient, effective repairs., • Install lighting systems, lighting controls, low-voltage systems, and specialty electrical equipment., • Work safely with low-voltage systems and with 120V, 208V, 227V, and 480V electrical systems., • Ensure all work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local electrical codes., • Coordinate daily with project managers, contractors, inspectors, and customers to keep projects on schedule., • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area on active construction and maintenance sites., • Order and track materials when assigned, ensuring crews have the tools and supplies needed to work efficiently., • Work independently, managing daily tasks and priorities without close supervision., • Provide on-site guidance and informal leadership to mechanics, technicians, and apprentices as needed.Essential Skills, • Minimum of 4+ years of hands-on electrical experience in residential and commercial environments., • Proven experience installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems in various settings., • Strong ability to perform rough-in, trim-out, and finish electrical work on new construction and fit-out projects., • Proficiency reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings., • Demonstrated skill installing and terminating panels, breakers, switches, lighting, receptacles, and service equipment., • Experience pulling wire and installing conduit systems, including EMT, PVC, and rigid conduit., • Ability to perform service upgrades and panel replacements in existing buildings., • Experience installing lighting, lighting controls, low-voltage systems, and specialty electrical equipment., • Comfort working with low-voltage systems and 120V, 208V, 227V, and 480V electrical systems., • Thorough understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local electrical codes and the ability to apply them in the field., • Mechanical aptitude and proven experience installing electrical systems in construction environments., • Ability to work independently or with minimal supervision while managing daily tasks and deadlines., • Valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation., • Ownership of basic electrical tools and personal protective equipment (PPE)., • Ability to lift more than 50 pounds and work safely on ladders, lifts, and active construction sites.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Leadership experience, such as leading crews or overseeing field work, is a strong plus., • Experience in both residential and light commercial electrical projects., • Familiarity with Romex wiring and general construction practices related to electrical installations., • Journeyman electrician certification is a plus., • Safety-related certifications such as OSHA are a plus., • Lift certifications or experience operating lifts are a plus., • Strong communication skills to coordinate with project managers, contractors, inspectors, and customers., • Ability to maintain an organized work area and contribute to a positive, team-oriented job site culture.Why Work Here? You regularly work on active construction sites, using ladders, lifts, and standard electrical tools and equipment while wearing appropriate PPE. Most projects are within roughly an hour of the shop, and you can expect a hands-on, field-based environment with a strong emphasis on safety, organization, and teamwork. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Allentown, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
