Job DescriptionJob Title: Janitor – Corporate Office Job Description This role is ideal for a reliable and detail-oriented janitor who takes pride in maintaining a clean, organized, and professional environment. You will ensure that all office areas, restrooms, breakrooms, and common spaces remain presentable and comfortable for employees and visitors in a small corporate office setting. Responsibilities • Clean and sanitize offices, conference rooms, hallways, lobbies, and common areas to maintain high cleanliness standards., • Vacuum carpets and sweep and mop hard-surface floors throughout the facility., • Empty trash and recycling containers and dispose of waste properly in designated areas., • Clean and disinfect restrooms, including sinks, toilets, mirrors, and fixtures, to ensure hygiene and safety., • Restock restroom and breakroom supplies such as soap, paper towels, toilet paper, coffee supplies, and other consumables., • Dust furniture, windowsills, fixtures, and office equipment to reduce dust buildup and maintain a neat appearance., • Clean interior glass, windows, and entry doors to keep surfaces streak-free and welcoming., • Maintain cleanliness of kitchenettes, breakrooms, and employee gathering areas, including counters, tables, and sinks., • Move light furniture as needed to clean underneath and around office furnishings., • Replace lights and perform basic upkeep tasks related to lighting and fixtures when needed., • Monitor building and cleaning supplies and promptly notify management when inventory is low or needs replenishment., • Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or repair needs to management to support a safe and well-maintained workplace.Essential Skills, • Proven ability to perform janitorial and housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, mopping, sweeping, and vacuuming., • Ability to safely move light furniture and equipment to access areas that require cleaning., • Experience cleaning and disinfecting restrooms, breakrooms, and common areas in an office or similar environment., • Capability to replace lights and handle basic facility upkeep related to fixtures., • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and appearance standards., • Reliability and punctuality, with the ability to follow a set schedule and complete tasks within allotted time., • Ability to follow safety procedures and report hazards or maintenance issues in a timely manner.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Prior janitorial, housekeeping, or commercial cleaning experience., • Comfort using standard cleaning tools and supplies such as mops, vacuums, brooms, and disinfectants., • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage time efficiently., • Good communication skills to coordinate with management about supply needs and maintenance concerns.Why Work Here? Work is performed indoors in offices, conference rooms, hallways, lobbies, restrooms, kitchenettes, breakrooms, and other common areas. You will regularly use standard cleaning equipment and supplies, including mops, brooms, vacuums, disinfectants, and trash and recycling containers. The environment is professional and business-oriented, with an expectation of neat, practical attire suitable for janitorial work and safe performance of cleaning tasks. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Annapolis Junction, MD. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
