This role ensures compliance with regional regulations, drives cost optimization, and fosters supplier innovation while supporting ESG and sustainability goals. The position requires strong analytical skills, cultural agility, and expertise in digital procurement tools to deliver measurable value across diverse markets. /p pCategory scope includes: Consumables, Uniforms, Safety supplies, Spare Parts, and other as needed. /p h3bResponsibilities /b /h3 ul liOwn end‑to‑end category strategies delivering measurable cost savings, supply assurance, and value creation across EMEA manufacturing sites /li liLead and engage suppliers and internal stakeholders to identify and implement cost reduction opportunities /li liProvide procurement support to all functional areas, ensuring procurement representation in issues related to meeting business requirements /li liAnalyze market trends and report substantial issues and resolution plan(s) to management when applicable /li liDevelop sourcing strategies and working plans and drive implementation to completion (commodity supplier strategies) /li liResolve issues related to quality, cost, delivery, and innovation /li liEnable a Continuous Improvement mindset, embracing PDCA and Deming Plan principles /li liManage and enhance supplier performance through standardized processes and continuous improvement across quality, cost, delivery, and service /li liEnsure strong stakeholder alignment with plants, business partners, finance, and technical teams /li /ul h3bQualifications Experience Required /b /h3 h3bEducation /b /h3 ul liBachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field required; advanced degree preferred /li liPreferred certifications: CPM /li /ul h3bExperience /b /h3 ul liStrategic and/or Operational Procurement experience (5+ years) /li liPrior commodity and/or materials buying experience /li liExperience managing Direct and/or Indirect goods and/or services in centralized, decentralized, or plant environments /li /ul h3bTechnical Skills /b /h3 ul liCategory knowledge of MRO/Consumables (Manufacturing Parts, Tooling, Process Aids, Chemicals, and Rubber Industry) /li liExperience with digital sourcing tools and data analytics for global sourcing decisions /li liSAP knowledge and procurement digital tools (Fairmarket, Ariba, E‑Catalogue) /li liContract development, management, and oversight /li liSpend analysis, costing models, SWOT analysis, target costing, and clean sheet analysis /li liTail spend management /li liSupplier risk assessment and mitigation strategies /li liUnderstanding of EU regulatory and compliance requirements, including GDPR and sustainability directives /li /ul h3bSoft / Behavioral Skills /b /h3 ul liAbility to multitask and adapt priorities quickly /li liAdvanced planning and analytical capability /li liComplex problem‑solving skills and ability to coordinate cross‑functional resolution /li liStrong stakeholder management and relationship‑building skills /li liAbility to work across cultures and manage suppliers across multiple time zones /li liCustomer‑oriented mindset /li liFocus on ESG and sustainability compliance /li /ul p#LI-LV1 /p h3WHAT WE OFFER /h3 pAt Bridgestone, what really matter is to foster co‑creation opportunities and empowering you to be creative and curious to make mobility safer, more efficient, and more sustainable for future generations.
