Job Description General Production Worker – 2nd Shift $19.12hr Job Description This role supports manufacturing and packaging operations for paste and liquid products on the 2nd shift. You will handle a mix of production, packaging, labeling, material handling, and assembly tasks while maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient work environment. The position requires reliable attendance, the ability to lift up to 55 lbs repeatedly, and a strong commitment to following safety and quality procedures. Responsibilities • Package and label paste and liquid products according to production and quality standards., • Handle materials safely, including lifting and moving items weighing up to 55 lbs repeatedly., • Support production lines by supplying materials, monitoring flow, and assisting with changeovers as needed., • Use RF scanners to track inventory, materials, and finished goods when required., • Perform general and assembly-related tasks to support overall manufacturing operations., • Assist with general production duties such as packing, shipping, and receiving as needed., • Operate or assist with sit-down and reach forklifts if qualified and requested., • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas throughout the shift., • Follow all PPE, safety, and company procedures to ensure a safe working environment., • Communicate effectively in English with supervisors and team members and follow directions accurately., • Work both independently and as part of a team to meet production goals and timelines., • Demonstrate reliable attendance and punctuality to support consistent production schedules. Essential Skills • Ability to safely lift up to 55 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift., • Experience working in a production or manufacturing environment., • Ability to work in a warehouse or general labor setting., • Basic English communication skills to follow instructions and safety guidelines., • Strong common sense and ability to follow directions accurately., • Comfort working with RF scanners for material and inventory tracking., • Ability to work reliably on a set 2nd shift schedule with consistent attendance., • Capability to perform general production, packing, and packaging tasks., • Comfort performing repetitive tasks in a fast-paced environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Prior manufacturing experience preferred., • Previous warehouse experience preferred., • Forklift experience, including sit-down and reach forklifts, preferred., • Mechanical aptitude is helpful for understanding equipment and processes., • Experience in shipping and receiving is a plus., • Experience in general assembly or general production work is beneficial., • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team. The facility is not a clean-room environment and includes typical production and warehouse conditions. Steel-toe boots are required, and additional PPE is provided by the employer. Long sleeves are recommended to enhance comfort and protection. Employees work around production lines, material handling equipment, and forklifts, and are expected to maintain clean and safe work areas at all times. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Garland, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.12 - $19.12/hr.
