Job DescriptionKey Personnel is seeking a Litigation Paralegal to join a respected law firm in the Tulsa, OK area. Litigation Paralegal Pay: $48,000 - $50,000 Litigation Paralegal Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Litigation Paralegal Summary: The Litigation Paralegal provides comprehensive legal support to attorneys handling complex civil litigation matters, including medical malpractice defense, insurance bad faith litigation, personal injury, and other civil defense cases. This position requires an experienced paralegal who can independently manage cases from inception through trial, coordinate discovery, organize case files, prepare exhibits, and support attorneys in a fast-paced defense litigation environment. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities while maintaining strict confidentiality and accuracy. Litigation Paralegal Responsibilities: • Manage assigned litigation matters from case inception through trial with minimal attorney supervision., • Draft, organize, and manage all phases of written discovery, including incoming and outgoing discovery requests and responses., • Obtain, review, summarize, and organize medical records, billing records, and document productions., • Calculate damages related to medical expenses, lost wages, and property damage while obtaining necessary liens and affidavits., • Conduct background investigations on lay witnesses and expert witnesses., • Perform legal research utilizing resources such as PACER, OSCN, Accurint, and other legal databases., • Prepare deposition notebooks, mediation binders, trial notebooks, and exhibit files., • Organize and maintain case chronologies, document indexes, and litigation databases., • Prepare, redact, Bates stamp, and produce documents while ensuring confidentiality and attorney-client privilege protections., • Review and analyze large volumes of case documents for relevance, organization, and accuracy., • Coordinate document productions, subpoenas, and document requests., • Prepare and proofread pleadings, motions, exhibits, and court filings., • Assist attorneys during mediations, depositions, hearings, and trials, including managing exhibits and operating TrialPad presentation software., • Maintain communication with attorneys, clients, expert witnesses, healthcare providers, and court personnel., • Prioritize multiple deadlines while ensuring compliance with state and federal court rules., • Perform additional litigation support and administrative duties as assigned.Litigation Paralegal Qualifications:, • Minimum of two (2) years of litigation paralegal experience required, preferably in a civil defense law firm., • Experience supporting medical malpractice, personal injury, insurance defense, or other civil litigation matters strongly preferred., • Thorough knowledge of Oklahoma state and federal court procedures, rules, and filing deadlines., • Strong understanding of the litigation process from case initiation through trial., • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint., • Advanced proficiency with Adobe Acrobat Pro., • Experience using TrialPad, PACER, OSCN, Accurint, Dropbox, WinZip, Citrix ShareFile, and other litigation support software preferred., • Excellent legal research, analytical, organizational, and document management skills., • Ability to prioritize multiple assignments while meeting strict deadlines., • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills., • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a legal team., • Professional demeanor with strong attention to detail and commitment to confidentiality.Litigation Paralegal Preferred Skills:, • Experience preparing cases for trial and providing in-court trial support., • Medical records review and medical billing analysis experience., • Experience preparing exhibit lists, witness files, and trial presentations., • Familiarity with electronic discovery (eDiscovery) processes., • Strong document management and litigation database experience.Physical Requirements/Work Environment:, • Work is performed primarily in a professional office environment., • Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer., • Frequent use of computers, scanners, printers, and standard office equipment., • Ability to occasionally lift or carry files and boxes weighing up to 25 pounds., • Occasional travel to courthouses, depositions, mediations, or trial locations may be required.Key Personnel Benefits: While on Key Personnel's payroll, you can access Key Personnel's benefits package, including health, dental, vision, accident, critical illness, term life, short-term disability, PTO, and more!For additional job openings, visit: www.keyjobs.comSafety-Sensitive Designation: This position is not classified as safety-sensitive; however, candidates must maintain the highest level of professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical standards while handling sensitive legal information.Key Personnel is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
