Job Description The Specialty Insurance Advisor is responsible for helping individuals, families, and business owners protect their financial future by providing specialized insurance solutions. This role focuses on life insurance, Medicare, health insurance, disability income, long-term care, supplemental benefits, and other specialty products. The Specialty Insurance Advisor works closely with the agency's Personal Lines Producers, Business Insurance Specialists, and referral partners to educate clients, identify protection gaps, and deliver customized solutions that complement each client's overall insurance portfolio. Educate clients on life insurance, Medicare, health insurance, disability income, long-term care, supplemental benefits, and other specialty products. Develop customized protection strategies based on each client's goals, budget, and risk profile. Generate new business through agency referrals, networking, community involvement, and personal prospecting. Work collaboratively with Personal Lines Producers and Business Insurance Specialists to serve referred clients and identify additional opportunities. Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, referral partners, financial professionals, lenders, and community organizations. Maintain accurate client records and activity within the agency CRM and management systems. Meet or exceed established production, activity, and client retention goals. Stay current on carrier products, underwriting guidelines, compliance requirements, and industry trends. Maintain all required insurance licenses and complete continuing education requirements. Deliver an exceptional client experience through professionalism, responsiveness, and consultative advice. Represent the agency with integrity while promoting its mission, values, and commitment to client service. Requirements Education & Licensing High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred. Active Life & Health Insurance License, or the ability to obtain one within the required timeframe. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Experience Previous experience in insurance, financial services, healthcare, or consultative sales preferred. Medicare, life insurance, or employee benefits experience is a plus. Experience building referral relationships and generating new business is highly desirable. Knowledge & Skills Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills. Strong consultative selling and needs-analysis abilities. Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and highly organized. Ability to explain complex insurance concepts in a simple, client-friendly manner. Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and agency technology platforms. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with other agency advisors. Additional Requirements Must successfully pass a pre-employment background check. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Must maintain all required insurance licenses and remain in good standing throughout employment.
