Job DescriptionDescriptionSeeking an experience Senior Architect with experience leading and overseeing architectural design from Pre-Design through Construction Administration. We will consider candidates willing to relocate. Key Responsibilities Design Leadership • Lead and oversee architectural design from Pre-Design through Construction Administration, ensuring alignment with client goals, program requirements, budget, and schedule., • Translate conceptual design intent into clear, coordinated, and buildable solutions., • Uphold the firm’s design standards, and quality objectives. Technical & Project Execution • Direct production of Construction Documents consistent with AIA documentation standards., • Resolve complex technical, code, and constructability issues., • Coordinate architectural work with consultants (structural, MEP, civil, specialty)., • Maintain compliance with applicable codes, zoning ordinances, accessibility standards, and sustainability goals. Construction Phase Services • Provide oversight during Bidding/Negotiation and Construction Administration., • Review submittals and shop drawings for conformance with design intent., • Respond to RFIs and issue Architectural Supplemental Instructions (ASIs) as required., • Participate in site visits, field observations, and problem resolution. Client & Stakeholder Engagement • Serve as a senior point of contact for clients, consultants, and contractors., • Present design solutions and technical recommendations clearly and professionally., • Support project management efforts related to scope, schedule, and fee. Mentorship & Firm Support • Mentor architectural staff and provide technical guidance across project teams., • Assist in establishing office standards, QA/QC processes, and best practices., • Contribute to proposal development, interviews, and business development efforts as needed. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Required • Professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch)., • Licensed Architect (or actively pursuing licensure where permitted)., • 7+ years of professional experience, including leadership on complex projects., • Strong knowledge of AIA project phases, contract documents, and standard forms., • Proficiency in architectural production tools (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD, BIM workflows)., • Demonstrated expertise in building codes, systems coordination, and construction detailing. Preferred • Experience with large-scale, government, civic, or complex building types., • Familiarity with sustainable design frameworks (e.g., LEED, WELL)., • Prior experience mentoring staff or leading multiple project teams.
