Working closely with the Chief Development Officer, development team, and marketing and communications staff, the Annual Giving & Stewardship Manager uses data-driven strategies to strengthen donor participation, enhance the donor experience, and build a sustainable pipeline of future major donors. The position serves as the primary relationship manager for annual donors and plays a key role in fostering a culture of philanthropy that advances United Way's mission and strategic goals. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Annual Giving Strategy & Campaign Management · Develop, implement, and evaluate a comprehensive annual giving strategy focused on donor acquisition, retention, reactivation, and upgrades. · Manage multi-channel fundraising campaigns, including direct mail, digital giving, Giving Tuesday, year-end appeals, annual campaign initiatives, and other annual fundraising efforts. · Partner with the Chief Development Officer to establish annual fundraising goals, performance metrics, and implementation plans. · Monitor campaign performance and recommend strategic adjustments to improve donor participation and philanthropic support. · Analyze donor trends, giving patterns, and campaign outcomes to inform fundraising strategies and strengthen donor engagement. · Manage a portfolio of annual donors with an emphasis on retention, engagement, and increased philanthropic investment. · Collaborate with the development team to identify and advance annual donors with major gift potential. · Partner with Director of Communications to develop compelling fundraising appeals and donor-centered messaging. Donor Stewardship & Relations · Develop and implement a comprehensive donor stewardship strategy that strengthens donor engagement, retention, and satisfaction. · In collaboration with the development team, manage stewardship and engagement strategies for Leadership Givers ($500+), Kenneth W. Monfort Society ($10,000+), and Legacy Leaders (planned gift and endowment commitments). · Design and oversee donor recognition programs, giving societies, appreciation initiatives, and donor engagement opportunities. · Establish stewardship standards and procedures to ensure meaningful, timely, and personalized donor engagement. · Coordinate stewardship communications, impact reporting, donor acknowledgements, and recognition activities in partnership with the Executive & Development Operations Manager. · Develop stewardship touchpoints that demonstrate the impact of donor investments and strengthen long-term relationships. · Coordinate donor recognition across organizational communications, reports, events, publications, digital platforms, and other engagement opportunities. · Ensure donor records accurately reflect recognition preferences, engagement history, and stewardship activities in collaboration with CRM administration. · Collaborate with Director of Communications to develop stewardship materials, donor stories, impact reports, and recognition opportunities. · Create opportunities for donors across all giving societies to engage with United Way's mission and understand the impact of their philanthropic investment. · Maintain knowledge of emerging annual giving and stewardship best practices. Duties and Responsibilities or (Essential Functions) • Drive high customer experience standards, to include a customer-oriented culture and industry leading customer engagement through sales training and product knowledge, • Lead a world-class customer service program to drive repeat business through strong local community networking, and customer data capture, • Work closely with Managers and Supervisors to exceed sales volume and KPI goals, • Partner with cross-divisional managers to ensure adequate staffing is scheduled and payroll goals are met, • Comply and audit cash procedures as it pertains to preparing deposits and daily cash reconciliation, • Directly supervise the check-in/camera assigned team to ensure acceptable standards are maintained for the overall safety and upkeep of the dispensary., • Uphold company standards for merchandise presentation and ensure menu availability is current., • Deliver results and strategic direction by ensuring day-to-day operations run smoothly through the store team., • Communicate, work closely, and successfully collaborate with Managers and Supervisors to achieve the organization's goals., • Support the implementation of operational policies, standards, and procedures for retail staff., • Ensure staff within all divisions of responsibility have a thorough understanding of our corporate processes, SOPs, and assist with providing education in areas that need to be addressed., • Train employees in expected customer experience and hospitality standards using appropriate tools such as customer loyalty, customer satisfaction surveys and key KPI's, • Maintain a training calendar and ensure associate onboarding and new hire training is complete, • Ensure continuous training and development with team members through training curriculums that results in consistency across all stores, • Lead by example and coach team members on performance.
