Job Description Job Title: Shipping and Packing Associate Schedule: Multiple shifts available Pay: $15.50/ hour Job Description The Shipping and Packing Associate carefully packs customer orders, scans items for accuracy, and prepares shipments for timely delivery in a fast-paced warehouse environment. This role supports inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, and overall shipping operations by following established procedures and maintaining high attention to detail. Responsibilities • Retrieve items from totes and accurately place them into appropriate shipping boxes according to each order., • Scan items using RF scanners to verify order accuracy and ensure correct products and quantities are packed., • Prepare packages for shipment by sealing boxes, labeling them correctly, and staging them in the designated shipping area., • Follow established packing standards to protect products during transit and reduce damage or errors., • Support shipping and receiving activities as needed, including handling inventory, assisting with incoming and outgoing shipments, and maintaining organized work areas., • Work efficiently in a fast-paced distribution or warehouse environment, meeting productivity and quality standards., • Contribute to inventory accuracy by handling products carefully, following procedures, and reporting discrepancies or issues., • Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area in compliance with warehouse safety guidelines., • Adapt to longer shifts of 10–12 hours per day during busy seasons (August through January) while sustaining accuracy and productivity. Essential Skills • Reliable transportation to consistently arrive on time for scheduled shifts., • Demonstrated job stability with an average tenure of approximately one year per previous position., • Some prior warehouse or industrial experience., • Experience with inventory handling and basic inventory processes., • RF scanning experience and the ability to use handheld scanners accurately., • Strong attention to detail to ensure correct items, quantities, and labels for each order. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Distribution center or warehouse experience in receiving., • Experience working in a fast-paced warehouse environment., • Experience with shipping and receiving processes., • Previous packaging or packing experience in a warehouse or industrial setting., • Ability and willingness to work 10–12 hour shifts during busy season (August through January). Work Environment The role is based in a semi climate-controlled warehouse environment designed to support comfort while working around inventory, shipping, and packaging operations. You will work with RF scanners, totes, boxes, and other standard warehouse equipment as part of daily tasks. Shifts are structured as follows: a first shift starting between 5:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. and ending at 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday; and a second shift from 3:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m., Sunday through Thursday. During peak season (August through January), you may work extended shifts of 10–12 hours per day. The setting is active and fast-paced, with a focus on safety, organization, and teamwork. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oklahoma City, OK. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $15.50/hr.
