Job Description Job Purpose A WL UT Operator is responsible for performing the NDT inspection method in accordance to Standard Operating Procedures. This position is responsible for ensuring that all materials inspected meet the quality standards set by SeAH Steel USA, LLC. This position will require working within the organization’s goals and team structure and contribution to the Overall Safety Program. Duties & Responsibilities -Calibrate and properly run WL UT equipment. -Organize and report results of WL UT test. -Accurately fill out/record applicable paperwork -Perform all applicable inspection functions to the requirements of ASNT SNT-TC-1A and API. -Separate pipe that needs further evaluation (prove-up) ensuring material is properly segregated. -Provide training to other NDT inspectors. -If he/she is certified with a level I, he/she needs to report to another Inspector level II for acceptance/rejection of material. -Confirmation that real weight agrees expected weight -Check that all WMS machinery is properly serviced before starting up. -Assists in repair and replacement of WMS equipment during maintenance shutdowns. -The employee is responsible in assisting with documentation and or technical devices for recording production and findings. -WMS equipment calibration. -Communicating to Supervisor any problems with material and equipment. -Other duties as assigned. Qualifications / Competencies Education: o High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required. Years of Experience: o 1 year of experience within the OCTG pipe inspection industry. Job Knowledge: o At least Level I certificate on EMI, MFL or EC. Level II certificate is preferred. o Knowledge and experience within the OCTG pipe inspection industry. o Familiar with requirements of ASNT SNT TC-1A. o Successful completion of pre-screen drug test and physical. Personal Competencies: o Must be detail oriented. o Visibility of work requires attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and discretion with confidential information. o Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Safety: o Understands all applicable location safety rules and regulations and makes sure that all are being followed. Job DescriptionLead QC Inspector (Precision Machining): We are hiring a skilled Lead QC Inspector to oversee inspection operations in a precision machining environment and ensure machined components meet customer specifications, engineering requirements, and ISO 9001 quality standards. This leadership role supports inspection teams, drives continuous improvement, and helps maintain product quality and release readiness. Key Responsibilities: Inspection Leadership & Daily Execution: • Lead and coordinate receiving, in-process, first article, and final inspections., • Assign work, provide technical guidance, and support QC Inspectors., • Perform dimensional inspections using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, indicators, optical comparators, and CMM equipment/software., • Read and interpret engineering drawings, tight tolerances, and GD&T requirements. ISO 9001 Conformance & Documentation: • Ensure all verification activities are completed before product release., • Maintain accurate inspection reports, records, and traceability documentation., • Verify compliance with ISO 9001 quality management system requirements. Nonconformance Control & Corrective Action: • Identify and control nonconforming products to prevent unintended use or shipment., • Coordinate containment, segregation, and disposition processes., • Support corrective actions and root cause investigations. Six Sigma & Continuous Improvement: • Apply Six Sigma and DMAIC methodologies to reduce defects and variation., • Support Measurement System Analysis (MSA), including Gage R&R activities., • Partner with Engineering and Production to improve quality and prevent recurring defects. Calibration & Audit Support: • Maintain calibration and control of inspection equipment and measurement tools., • Support internal/external audits and customer quality requirements., • Provide inspection records and traceability documentation as needed. Qualifications: Required: • High school diploma or GED; technical training preferred., • 5+ years of quality inspection experience in CNC machining or precision manufacturing., • Strong blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation skills., • Experience using precision measuring instruments and inspection reporting systems., • Working knowledge of ISO 9001 quality practices and nonconformance control. Preferred: • CMM programming and operation experience (ZEISS Calypso or similar)., • Six Sigma certification (Yellow Belt, Green Belt, or higher)., • Experience conducting MSA / Gage R&R studies., • Experience generating First Article Inspection (FAI) reports.
