This is an exceptional opportunity for quality professionals who enjoy working hands-on with advanced technology and want exposure to the rapidly growing Aerospace, UAV, and Robotics industries. 💰 Pay: Up to $45/hour 📍 Location: South San Francisco, CA (Onsite) 🚀 Interviewing Immediately What You'll Do As a Quality Inspector, you'll play a critical role in ensuring incoming materials, assemblies, and finished products meet engineering and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities • Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of drone components, subsystems, and finished aircraft, • Conduct dimensional, visual, and functional inspections using precision measurement equipment, • Operate material and structural testing equipment to evaluate incoming parts and assemblies, • Inspect carbon fiber and composite structures for defects, damage, dimensional variation, and manufacturing nonconformances, • Verify compliance to engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements, • Inspect and validate:, • PCBAs and electronic assemblies, • Carbon fiber and composite structures, • Motors and propulsion systems, • Machined and fabricated metal components, • 3D-printed parts, • Electromechanical assemblies, • Record inspection results and maintain traceability within the Quality Management System (QMS), • Identify, document, and contain nonconforming material, • Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Suppliers to resolve quality issues, • Participate in root cause investigations and corrective action activities, • Help develop and improve inspection methods, procedures, and quality processes, • Support production schedules and aircraft delivery commitments through effective inspection prioritizationWhat We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications, • 2+ years of quality inspection experience in manufacturing, aerospace, defense, robotics, electronics, automotive, or similar industries, • Experience conducting dimensional, visual, and functional inspections, • Strong blueprint and engineering drawing interpretation skills, • Working knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), • Experience using:, • Calipers, • Micrometers, • Height Gauges, • Precision measurement tools, • Familiarity with quality systems and inspection documentation, • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills, • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentPreferred Qualifications, • Aerospace, Drone/UAV, Robotics, or Defense industry experience, • Composite and carbon fiber inspection experience, • Experience inspecting PCBAs, wiring harnesses, avionics, or electronic assemblies, • Knowledge of AS9100 or other regulated quality systems, • Experience with root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives, • Familiarity with Jira, 1Factory, or similar quality management tools, • Basic electrical troubleshooting experienceWork Environment This position is based on the production floor and offers hands-on exposure to the entire manufacturing process—from incoming raw materials to fully assembled flight-ready aircraft. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of San Francisco, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $42.00/hr.
