Job Description Job Title: Forklift Operator Hiring on all shifts. 10+ hours of overtime each week! Job Description Join a brand-new, state-of-the-art greenfield manufacturing facility as a Clamp Truck/Forklift Operator and play a key role in moving products safely and efficiently from production lines to outbound trailers. In this fast-paced, high-volume environment, you will operate both sit-down and stand-up forklifts, support day-to-day warehouse functions, and help ensure products ship damage-free and on time. This role is ideal for a motivated, safety-focused professional who thrives in a flexible production setting and values teamwork, quality, and ownership. Responsibilities • Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts and clamp trucks safely and efficiently to move product from production lines to trailers., • Load trailers according to customer requirements and internal standards to ensure damage-free transportation of products., • Pass and maintain qualification through the company’s forklift test to operate equipment., • Read and interpret loading summary manifest sheets to understand product distribution requirements., • Use RF scanning systems to accurately identify, track, and manage product throughout the warehouse., • Palletize products for shipment when required, selecting the correct pallet type based on customer specifications., • Secure loads using appropriate materials and techniques to ensure stable, damage-free shipments., • Meet and maintain company quality assurance standards when handling, staging, and loading products., • Handle various unit configurations carefully to prevent damage to product and packaging., • Report high-risk product and load issues promptly to the Team Lead or Warehouse Manager for review and resolution., • Complete required paperwork accurately, including pallet check-off and other shipping or inventory documents., • Perform pre-operation forklift inspections and document any defects or safety concerns before use., • Pull orders and stage materials for warehouse releases and outbound shipments., • Load and unload products from trailers efficiently while maintaining safety and quality standards., • Participate in inventory control processes, including counting, verification, and documentation of stock., • Tag out and report defective equipment according to safety procedures to prevent unsafe operation., • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with facility standards., • Follow all safety, quality, and production procedures while contributing to a culture focused on integrity, customer satisfaction, and productivity., • Collaborate with team members and leadership to support continuous improvement and smooth daily operations.Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elgin, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
