Position Summary \n We are looking for a Project Coordinator to support the delivery of electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure and building decarbonization projects. In this role, you’ll work closely with Project Managers and internal leadership to keep projects moving smoothly from early feasibility through installation, energization, and closeout. \n You’ll be a central point of coordination between internal teams, utilities, engineering partners, municipalities, subcontractors, vendors, and site hosts. Our work helps organizations navigate the complexity of planning, permitting, utility coordination, incentives, and construction so that climate‑friendly projects become reality. \n We collaborate with utilities, municipalities, contractors, and site hosts to reduce emissions, modernize infrastructure, and accelerate the transition to a more sustainable energy system. \n \n More about BT2 Energy: \n www.bt2energy.com \n https://www.linkedin.com/company/bt2energy \n https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F9d0QfIJ9sI \n \n Essential Functions & Core Responsibilities \n PROJECT COORDINATION & DELIVERY \n\n • Support Project Managers in coordinating EV charging and electrification projects from site feasibility through installation and commissioning.\n, • Track project milestones including site assessments, design development, permitting, procurement, construction, and energization.\n, • Maintain project schedules, task lists, and status updates using project management tools.\n\n UTILITY COORDINATION \n\n • Assist with submitting and tracking utility applications for new electrical service or service upgrades.\n, • Coordinate with utility representatives (e.g., investor‑owned utilities, municipal utilities) regarding load studies, service designs, and infrastructure upgrades.\n, • Track utility timelines and dependencies that may impact project schedules.\n\n PERMITTING & REGULATORY COMPLIANCE \n\n • Assist with preparing and submitting permit applications for EV charging and electrification projects.\n, • Coordinate with local building departments, inspectors, and municipalities regarding permitting requirements and inspections.\n, • Track permit approvals, inspection schedules, and close‑out documentation.\n\n INCENTIVE PROGRAMS & GRANT SUPPORT \n\n • Assist with preparing and submitting applications for EV charging and energy efficiency incentive programs and grants.\n, • Track application milestones, documentation requirements, and submission deadlines.\n, • Support post‑installation reporting and reimbursement documentation.\n\n VENDOR & SUBCONTRACTOR COORDINATION \n\n • Coordinate scheduling and communication with engineering partners, electricians, equipment vendors, and subcontractors.\n, • Track equipment lead times, deliveries, and installation schedules.\n\n SUBCONTRACTOR DOCUMENTATION & CONTRACT ADMINISTRATION \n\n • Facilitate the distribution, review, and execution of subcontractor agreements and related documentation on behalf of project managers and leadership.\n, • Track subcontractor compliance documentation including Certificates of Insurance (COIs), W‑9s, licenses, and credentials.\n, • Support coordination with internal leadership and external legal counsel on contract documentation needs, as required.\n\n DOCUMENTATION & REPORTING \n\n • Maintain organized project files including contracts, site plans, engineering drawings, permits, and approvals.\n, • Prepare internal project status reports and progress summaries.\n, • Track invoices and documentation required for incentive reimbursements.\n\n SITE ASSESSMENTS & FIELD COORDINATION \n\n • Assist with scheduling and coordinating site assessments with engineering teams and contractors.\n, • Coordinate site access for electrical rooms, parking areas, and other project areas.\n\n PROCESS IMPROVEMENT \n\n • Support development of standardized project templates, workflows, and tracking tools.\n, • Identify opportunities to improve coordination, documentation, and reporting processes.\n, • Assist with implementing best practices, standard operating procedures, and project management systems.\n\n \n Location: Remote-first. Most team members work from home-based offices. We also have access to a coworking space at Roxbury Community College for in-person collaboration. The majority of work performed in this role will be conducted within Massachusetts due to deployment, regulatory, and licensing requirements. This role may involve occasional travel for site visits, customer meetings, events, or conferences, primarily within the Northeastern United States. These events may occasionally fall outside of typical business hours. Travel expectations will be discussed in advance, and reasonable accommodations will be made where possible. Core collaboration hours are aligned with the Eastern Time Zone. \n \n Qualifications \n Education \n Associate’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Bachelor’s degree welcome but not required. We value hands‑on experience, transferable skills, and lived experience as much as formal education. \n \n Required Experience \n Approximately 2–5 years of experience in project coordination, construction administration, infrastructure delivery, or energy‑related programs (or equivalent experience).
