Job Description Job Title: Production Technician II - WEEKLY PAY - START ASAP - $23 TO $25 AN HOUR Job Description The Production Technician II supports manufacturing operations for equipment used in agriculture, construction, and mining by assembling, testing, and maintaining electrical and hydraulic components. This role works with small parts and tools, performs detailed assembly tasks such as soldering, harness building, splicing, and crimping, and helps maintain accurate inventory counts. Success in this position requires strong manual dexterity, attention to detail, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints while working safely and efficiently in a clean, climate-controlled production environment. Responsibilities • Assemble electrical and hydraulic components used on vehicles and heavy equipment for agriculture, construction, and mining applications., • Perform detailed assembly tasks including soldering, harness building, splicing, crimping, and related electrical assembly work., • Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete production and assembly tasks., • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to build components according to specifications., • Handle small parts and small tools with a high level of manual dexterity and precision., • Assist with counting inventory, verifying quantities, and ensuring inventory accuracy in the production area., • Operate production equipment and tools, including voltmeters and other basic electrical testing devices, as needed., • Use ERP software to support production and inventory-related activities, following established processes and documentation standards., • Follow manufacturing and production procedures to meet quality, safety, and productivity standards., • Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area in a spacious, climate-controlled facility., • Collaborate with a small team of technicians and supervisors, asking for assistance when needed and supporting team goals., • Complete other duties as assigned by production leadership to support overall manufacturing operations. Essential Skills • Strong manual dexterity and the ability to work accurately with small parts and small tools., • Experience with electrical assembly, including soldering, crimping, and splicing., • Knowledge of hydraulic systems and hydraulic assembly processes., • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings., • Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with manufacturing and production environments., • Proficiency using hand tools and power tools safely., • Basic experience using voltmeters and related electrical testing tools., • Organizational skills to maintain a neat work area and support accurate inventory counting., • Ability to work effectively as part of a small, close-knit team., • Comfort using ERP systems or similar production/inventory software. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Experience in assembly, manufacturing, or production environments., • Familiarity with hydraulics and pneumatics in an industrial or heavy equipment setting., • Ability to learn and follow detailed work instructions and standard operating procedures., • Experience operating forklifts or similar material-handling equipment., • Comfort working with climate-controlled production equipment and tools., • Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to repetitive tasks., • Willingness to receive hands-on training and work independently once trained, with supervisors available for support. Work Environment The role is based in a very clean, climate-controlled facility that remains comfortable year-round. You will work as part of a team of approximately eight technicians in a spacious, organized production area. Standard safety practices apply, with personal protective equipment required when operating power tools, and the workspace is designed to support focus, precision, and safe operation of manufacturing equipment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sioux Falls, SD. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
