Job Description Job Title: General Production Worker - WEEKLY PAY - $20 TO $22 AN HOUR - START ASAP Job Description Join a growing agricultural manufacturing operation as a General Production Worker, where you will support both production and warehouse activities. You will help mix fertilizer products, operate along the assembly line, package finished goods, and move materials throughout the facility using pallet jacks and forklifts. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, values safety, and wants to contribute to building a new, tight-knit operation. Responsibilities • Mix fertilizer products using industrial mixers according to established procedures and safety guidelines., • Work on the assembly line to monitor product flow after mixing and ensure products meet quality standards., • Box and package finished products accurately and efficiently for shipment., • Use pallet jacks and forklifts to move materials and finished products to and from the loading bay and storage areas., • Assist with picking and packing orders to meet shipping schedules and customer requirements., • Handle loading and unloading of materials, including heavy lifting of up to 50 pounds, in a safe and controlled manner., • Operate hand tools and utility knives to open, prepare, or modify packaging and materials as needed., • Use RF scanners to track inventory movement and maintain accurate records of materials and finished goods., • Support shipping and receiving activities, including verifying incoming and outgoing shipments., • Perform general labor and material handling tasks to keep the production and warehouse areas organized and efficient., • Follow all safety procedures and contribute to a safety-oriented culture within a small, close-working team., • Assist with crane operation as needed to move larger or heavier materials safely., • Maintain a clean and orderly work area, including equipment and machines, in line with facility cleanliness standards. Essential Skills • Experience performing heavy lifting and general production or warehouse work., • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds safely and repeatedly throughout the shift., • Ability to use a utility knife safely for packaging and material handling tasks., • Proficiency operating forklifts for material movement within a warehouse or production environment., • Experience using pallet jacks to move pallets and materials safely., • Basic math skills to support mixing, counting, and packaging tasks., • Strong focus on safety and adherence to safety procedures in a production setting., • Comfort working with hand tools and basic equipment in a manufacturing or warehouse environment., • Ability to perform picking, packing, loading, unloading, and general material handling tasks., • Willingness to work closely with a small team and communicate effectively to complete tasks. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Experience with crane operation in a warehouse or production environment., • Familiarity with RF scanners for inventory tracking and order processing., • Experience in shipping and receiving, including verifying and documenting shipments., • Previous experience in packaging, boxing, or assembly line work., • Experience working with fertilizer or other agricultural products is a plus., • Ability to adapt to a flexible schedule and support a growing operation., • Comfort working in a small, tight-knit team environment where collaboration is essential. The environment is heated but does not have air conditioning, so conditions may vary with the seasons. The team is small, with only a few employees on-site, creating a tight-knit, safety-oriented culture where everyone works closely together and supports one another. The role combines production and warehouse tasks, including material handling, loading, and unloading. Steel-toe footwear is required as part of the dress code to ensure safety on the production floor. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sioux Falls, SD.
