Job DescriptionJob Title: Concrete ForemanJob Description Lead field crews performing infrastructure repair and maintenance projects, overseeing daily operations to ensure safe, efficient, and high‑quality work. You supervise crew activities, coordinate equipment and materials, maintain safety compliance, and communicate effectively with project stakeholders to deliver concrete and utility repairs on schedule. This role requires strong leadership, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work outdoors in varying conditions on municipal, commercial, and industrial sites. Responsibilities • Lead and supervise small to medium‑sized field crews of approximately 3–10 workers on infrastructure repair and maintenance projects., • Plan and coordinate daily work activities, including assigning tasks, setting priorities, and managing workflow to meet project schedules., • Oversee concrete repair and restoration work, including concrete finishing, rebar placement, formwork, epoxy applications, and related masonry tasks., • Direct infrastructure repair operations such as water and sewer work, pipe repair, trenching, and utility restoration to meet project specifications., • Operate and oversee the use of heavy equipment including skid steers, mini‑excavators, and compactors, ensuring safe and efficient operation., • Ensure proper use of hand tools and power tools by crew members, and verify that equipment is maintained and used according to safety standards., • Maintain strict safety compliance with OSHA standards, including conducting toolbox talks, identifying jobsite hazards, and implementing mitigation measures., • Read and interpret blueprints, site plans, repair specifications, and work orders to guide field activities and ensure accurate execution of work., • Coordinate materials, tools, and equipment needed for each job, and adjust plans as necessary based on site conditions and project requirements., • Communicate regularly with project managers and other stakeholders regarding progress, challenges, and resource needs., • Document daily work activities, materials used, and job progress through detailed field reporting and daily logs, including use of construction software such as Procore when required., • Troubleshoot mechanical issues with tools, pumps, and repair equipment, and arrange repairs or replacements to minimize downtime., • Coach and mentor crew members to build skills, enforce productivity standards, and maintain a collaborative, team‑oriented work environment., • Monitor quality of repairs and installations to ensure work meets company standards, project specifications, and regulatory requirements., • Adapt to changing site conditions, weather, and project demands while maintaining safety, productivity, and high‑quality workmanship.Essential Skills, • Proven experience in construction, utilities, or civil infrastructure work, particularly in field‑based repair and maintenance projects., • Demonstrated crew leadership experience, including managing 3–10 field workers, delegating tasks, and enforcing productivity and safety standards., • Hands‑on concrete skills, including concrete repair, concrete finishing, and related masonry work., • Experience with infrastructure repair such as water and sewer systems, pipe repair, trenching, or utility restoration., • Ability to safely operate heavy equipment including skid steers, mini‑excavators, and compactors., • Strong safety knowledge and practice, including OSHA standards, jobsite hazard identification, and conducting toolbox talks., • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, site plans, repair specifications, and work orders., • Mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting tools, pumps, and repair equipment in the field., • Strong communication skills for coordinating with crews and project managers, and effective documentation of work and materials., • Comfort working outdoors in varying weather conditions, including in trenches, confined spaces, and on uneven terrain., • Valid driver’s license.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Experience with pipe repair, concrete restoration, or water and sewer systems., • Familiarity with construction management software such as Procore., • Knowledge of rebar installation, formwork, and epoxy‑based repair techniques., • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast‑paced, field‑based environment., • CDL license is a plus., • Strong documentation and field reporting skills, including maintaining accurate daily logs., • Ability to understand and follow detailed repair specifications and site drawings., • Comfort working across municipal, commercial, and industrial project sites.Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lincoln Park, NJ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $40.00/hr.
