Job Description Title: Aron House Dorm Office Manager Department / Location: Aron House; Home Department, St. Louis, MO Position Type: Full-time, 39 weeks Summary The Aron House Dorm Office Manager plays an essential role in advancing Principia’s mission by ensuring the smooth, consistent, and effective operation of the dorm office in support of boarding students and the Home Department’s role as parent. Reporting to the Director of Home Life, this position serves as a central resource for students, families, and staff by coordinating student logistics, managing communications, maintaining office systems and records, and supporting the daily administrative functions of Aron House. As a primary point of contact for parents, students, and staff, the Dorm Office Manager manages confidential information with discretion, coordinates student travel and other key logistics, assists with departmental financial and administrative processes, and helps ensure the accuracy and efficiency of office operations. This role also coordinates special events, supports residential staff, and maintains a welcoming, responsive office environment that contributes to student well-being and a positive residential experience. Primary Responsibilities • Coordinates the day-to-day operations of the dorm office to ensure efficient, accurate, and consistent support for students, families, and Home Department staff, • Serves as the primary point of contact for Home Department communications, providing timely, professional, and confidential support to students, parents, faculty, and external partners, • Maintains office systems, records, workflows, and administrative processes, ensuring accuracy, consistency, confidentiality, and compliance with established procedures, • Coordinates student travel arrangements, approvals, and documentation for scheduled breaks, appointments, emergencies, disciplinary situations, and other transportation needs, • Coordinates and supports the planning and execution of dorm and community events, including Family Weekend, Day Student Exchange Weeks, Girls' Swing Out Dinner, Boys' Senior Dinner, and other Home Department programs, • Processes departmental purchasing and financial transactions, including credit card reconciliation, expense tracking, and supporting monthly budget reconciliation activities, • Prepares, maintains, and distributes student records, rosters, permissions, correspondence, and mailings while ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and timely access to information, • Maintains and updates student information systems, including Magnus and the student portal, ensuring current and accurate records that support student care and departmental operations, • Provides backup residential coverage and collaborates with houseparents to support student needs and maintain continuity of care, • Administers student medications in accordance with approved training and established medical protocols, supporting student health, safety, and well-being Core Competencies Principia values the unique strengths each employee brings to their role. Compensation and Benefits We offer a competitive salary range for this position: $23.70 - $27.68 hourly, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
