Job DescriptionOverview: LHH is actively recruiting for a Temporary Records File Clerk on behalf of a well-established law firm with an immediate hiring need. This position will play a key role in supporting the firm's Records & Governance department by assisting with records management, data organization, file tracking, and administrative projects. The ideal candidate will have prior law firm experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to quickly contribute in a busy professional environment. Key Responsibilities: • Manage the organization, retrieval, tracking, and maintenance of physical and electronic records in accordance with firm policies and procedures., • Maintain and update records management databases and information governance systems., • Process incoming physical records and ensure accurate cataloging and storage., • Download, save, organize, and maintain electronic files and data within document management systems., • Assist with matter openings, transfers, file movements, and records-related administrative projects., • Support the scanning, indexing, and digitization of physical records., • Prepare external media and coordinate shipping of records and files as needed., • Assist with electronic and physical records archiving, retention, and disposition projects., • Respond promptly and accurately to records requests from attorneys, staff, and other stakeholders., • Collaborate with Records Coordinators and department leadership on ongoing initiatives and special projects., • Ensure compliance with records retention policies, information governance standards, and confidentiality requirements., • Provide general administrative support to the Records & Governance department as needed. Qualifications:, • 1-3 years of experience in a law firm environment, preferably within Records Management, Information Governance, or Records & Information Management., • Experience handling both physical and electronic records in a professional services or legal setting., • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook., • Experience utilizing document management systems such as iManage or similar platforms., • Familiarity with electronically stored information (ESI) and electronic file management processes., • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines., • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy., • Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a team environment., • Strong verbal and written communication skills., • Professional demeanor with excellent customer service and interpersonal abilities., • Flexible, dependable, and capable of adapting to changing priorities and project demands., • Experience working with scanners, copiers, and other standard office equipment.
