Costco is seeking Customer Service Associates to assist members with purchases, returns, and front-end store operations. Customer Service Associates are responsible for greeting members, operating cash registers, processing payments, assisting with returns and exchanges, checking receipts at the exit, assisting customers with membership questions, and maintaining a clean and organized front-end area. Associates may also assist with membership sign-ups, membership renewals, and helping members with general store questions. This position typically pays $17 to $22 per hour, with opportunities for overtime pay, Sunday premium pay, holiday pay, and performance-based raises. Customer Service Associates are responsible for providing excellent customer service, processing transactions, handling returns, assisting with membership services, checking receipts at the exit door, assisting customers with questions, and maintaining front-end organization and cleanliness. Cleans warehouse floors, offices, break room, and restrooms by operating self-propelled floor scrubbing machinery, and by sweeping, mopping, spraying, and wiping. Follows departmental procedures and standards for cleanliness and performance of duties. Restocks supplies. Paints, replaces bulbs, maintains equipment, and performs routine repairs throughout the warehouse. Assists in building displays and fixtures. Maintains grounds outside the warehouse including blowing leaves, picking up litter, roof checks, pressure washing, and building maintenance. Participates in snow and ice removal. Follows safety and security procedures, such as tagging and locking off power access when working on electrical equipment or contracting out electrical work, wearing safety goggles when using compactor and baler, product disposal. Responds quickly to clean up spills. Empties trash from designated areas throughout the warehouse. Operates garbage compactor and cardboard baler. Checks daily schedule for assigned routine tasks and maintenance repair jobs. Drives personal vehicle to purchase supplies and parts needed for projects. Ensures proper cleanup and disposal of hazardous materials. Ability to operate vehicles, equipment or machinery. Assists with department duties as necessary. Assists in other departments of the warehouse as necessary.

Checks contact lenses and completed eyeglasses against prescription under the supervision of a Licensed Optician, prior to dispensing to members. Fits and adjusts eyeglasses to members using hand tools and frame warmer and bending with fingers. Orders equipment, merchandise, and supplies by keying into the computer. Keys receipt of special orders from outside vendors. Follows safety and security procedures. Stocks merchandise and supplies. Follows department procedures and standards for production, record keeping, merchandising, and product storage. Cleans department by spraying, wiping, and mopping. Empties trash, operates trash compactor and cardboard baler. Ensures proper cleanup and disposal of hazardous materials. Ability to operate vehicles, equipment or machinery. Assists with department duties as necessary. Assists in other departments of the warehouse as necessary.
