Job DescriptionJob Title: Machine OperatorJob Description This role involves operating press machines that produce dog-collar tags in a climate-controlled production environment. You rotate through multiple workstations on the production floor, ensuring each tag meets strict quality and accuracy standards. The position combines machine operation with general warehouse tasks and requires consistent attention to detail, physical stamina, and safe handling of heavy materials. Responsibilities • Operate a press machine that prints dog-collar tags according to established procedures and safety guidelines., • Rotate through several workstations on the production floor to support different stages of the manufacturing process., • Read and inspect tags carefully to verify accuracy, legibility, and overall quality before they move to the next step., • Lift and load 50–100 lb coils of metal into the machines several times per day, ensuring they are properly aligned and secured., • Set up machines and adjust settings as needed to maintain consistent product quality and production output., • Use hand tools and measuring tools, including tape measures, to confirm correct dimensions and alignment., • Monitor machine performance, identify basic issues, and communicate any problems to the appropriate personnel., • Perform general warehouse duties when production activity is lighter, including moving boxes, organizing materials, and maintaining a clean workspace., • Sweep and tidy the shop floor and, as needed, sweep the parking lot to support a safe and orderly environment., • Follow all safety protocols and company guidelines while working on the production floor and in warehouse areas., • Remain on your feet throughout the shift while safely operating machinery and handling materials.Essential Skills, • At least 1 month of machine operating experience., • At least 6 months of production experience., • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the day., • Ability to handle and assist with lifting 50–100 lb coils of metal safely., • Ability to stand and be on your feet for up to 8 hours per day., • Excellent vision to read, inspect, and verify printed tags with a high degree of accuracy., • Experience with punch press operation., • Ability to use a tape measure accurately., • Hands-on experience with general machine operation., • Ability to perform basic machine setup tasks., • Comfort using basic hand tools in a production or warehouse setting., • Strong attention to detail and quality control., • Reliability in following procedures and meeting production expectations.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment., • Familiarity with load handling and material feeding into machines., • Comfort working in a structured, process-driven production setting., • Ability to multitask between machine operation and general warehouse duties., • Strong work ethic and willingness to assist with cleaning and facility upkeep.Why Work Here? Work Environment The role is based indoors in a climate-controlled facility, providing a comfortable and consistent work setting. The only non-climate-controlled area is the third floor, where employees do not work. You work a first-shift schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, for an 8-hour shift. The production floor includes press machines, metal coils, and general warehouse equipment, and you can expect a mix of machine operation and light industrial tasks. The dress code is casual and practical, typically jeans, tennis shoes, and short-sleeve tops, suitable for a hands-on manufacturing environment where safety, cleanliness, and mobility are important. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Omaha, NE. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
