Job DescriptionCustom Truck Mechanic – Build & Upfit Specialty Vehicles If you love turning wrenches, solving problems, and bringing big‑equipment ideas to life, this role puts you right where the action is. As a Custom Truck Mechanic, you’ll take factory‑fresh vocational trucks and transform them into purpose‑built machines—adding the power, capability, and features customers rely on in the field. You’ll work across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and fabrication projects, installing everything from plows and cranes to lift systems, dump bodies, lighting packages, and custom structural components. Every build is different, every day is hands‑on, and your craftsmanship becomes the final product. Pay: $26–$32/hrSchedule: Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM–4:40 PM (Friday OT available)Location: Denver, CO Job Description/What You’ll Work On: • Custom truck builds — Convert stock trucks into fully outfitted specialty vehicles, • Mechanical assembly — Adjust, repair, and install components across multiple systems, • Hydraulic routing — Connect fluid, transmission, and pneumatic lines, • 12V electrical work — Wire lights, harnesses, accessories, and troubleshoot circuits, • MIG welding & fabrication — Build brackets, mounts, and structural supports, • Blueprint interpretation — Follow schematics, diagrams, and technical drawings, • System diagnostics — Identify issues across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, • Quality & safety checks — Inspect completed builds for compliance and performance, • Documentation — Record work performed and communicate updates with the team, • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environmentSkills/Qualifications:, • Hands‑on mechanical experience (1+ year preferred), • Must have MIG welding experience., • Experience with hydraulic systems and line installation, • Familiarity with 12V wiring, lighting, and accessory installation, • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings, • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities, • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, • Commitment to safety, precision, and high‑quality workmanshipWork Environment: You’ll work in a busy, well‑equipped shop alongside experienced mechanics and technicians. Expect a highly physical role with regular use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, fabrication machinery, and diagnostic tools. Typical weeks run 40–45 hours, with overtime available depending on production needs. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Denver, CO. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $32.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
