Job Description Job Title: Forklift Operator- START ASAP!! Job Description This role involves operating a sit-down forklift to support daily warehouse and manufacturing operations, including order pulling, material handling, loading and unloading pallets, and tracking inventory. You will work closely with production and shipping teams to ensure materials and products move safely, accurately, and efficiently through the facility. Spanish language skills are required to communicate effectively with team members and follow instructions. Responsibilities • Operate a sit-down forklift safely and efficiently to move materials, products, and pallets throughout the facility., • Pull and prepare customer orders accurately, ensuring correct quantities and items are picked and staged., • Load and unload pallets, both by hand and using the forklift, while following proper lifting and safety procedures., • Handle materials throughout the warehouse and manufacturing areas, including staging, organizing, and replenishing stock., • Use pallet jacks and other material handling equipment to move products as needed., • Track inventory by counting, labeling, and updating locations to maintain accurate stock levels., • Support assembly and manufacturing operations by delivering materials and components to production lines in a timely manner., • Follow established safety procedures and guidelines while operating forklifts and other equipment., • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including storage and staging locations., • Communicate effectively in Spanish to coordinate tasks, follow instructions, and collaborate with team members., • Inspect forklifts and material handling equipment before use and report any issues or maintenance needs., • Assist with packing, picking, and other warehouse duties as required to support overall operations. Essential Skills • Proven experience operating a sit-down forklift in a warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environment., • Ability to pull orders accurately and efficiently using forklifts and other material handling equipment., • Experience loading and unloading pallets by hand and with a forklift., • Material handling skills, including using pallet jacks and handling various types of products and materials., • Ability to track inventory and maintain accurate counts and records., • Fluency in Spanish to communicate effectively with team members and follow verbal and written instructions., • Ability to work safely in a manufacturing and warehouse environment, including adherence to safety procedures., • Capability to work outdoors as needed to support loading, unloading, or material movement. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Assembly experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus., • Experience working in a manufacturing or production facility., • Familiarity with packing, picking, and order fulfillment processes., • Comfort using handheld scanners or similar tools for inventory tracking, if required by the operation., • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling orders and inventory., • Ability to work collaboratively with warehouse, shipping, and production teams. Work Environment This position is based in a manufacturing environment that includes warehouse and production areas. You will primarily work on a first-shift schedule, supporting daytime operations. You may work both indoors and outdoors, including in loading areas and yard spaces, and should be comfortable with varying temperatures and conditions. The environment is fast-paced and safety-focused, with clear procedures for equipment use and material movement. Appropriate work attire suitable for a manufacturing and warehouse setting is expected, including adherence to any required personal protective equipment policies. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Compton, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
