Job DescriptionJob Title: Warehouse WorkerJob Description This role focuses on accurately picking parts for shipments using an RF scanner and supporting warehouse operations such as packing, sorting, shipping, and inventory control. You will move throughout the facility on foot and occasionally with a pallet jack, and over time you will receive training on receiving processes and basic computer tasks to help maintain accurate product inventory. Responsibilities • Use an RF scanner to pick parts for outgoing shipments with a strong focus on accuracy and speed., • Walk throughout the warehouse and use a pallet jack as needed to locate, move, and stage products., • Pack, sort, and prepare orders for shipment according to established procedures., • Support shipping and receiving activities, including organizing and verifying incoming and outgoing materials., • Assist with maintaining accurate inventory records through computer-based systems and processes., • Learn and follow the receiving process, including sorting orders and updating inventory information., • Operate warehouse equipment, including forklift, after receiving proper training and following safety guidelines., • Follow all warehouse safety, cleanliness, and organizational standards during daily tasks.Essential Skills, • Previous picking, packing, and general warehouse experience., • Ability to use an RF scanner to pick orders accurately and efficiently., • Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new warehouse software systems during the contract-to-hire period., • Comfort working around and learning to operate a forklift; willingness to complete forklift training., • Ability to perform shipping and receiving tasks; 6 months of experience in shipping and receiving is preferred., • Capability to walk and stand for extended periods while working on concrete flooring.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Preferred 6 months of hands-on experience in shipping and receiving., • Experience with inventory processes in a warehouse environment., • Familiarity with pallet jacks and other basic material handling equipment., • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy while working at a fast pace.Why Work Here? Work Environment This is a first-shift position, typically running from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The work takes place on concrete flooring in a climate-controlled warehouse, though bay doors may remain open and can affect temperature and airflow. You will spend much of the day walking, standing, and handling materials, using RF scanners, pallet jacks, and eventually forklifts as part of daily operations. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Louis, MO. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
