Job Description We are seeking a detail oriented Legal Secretary to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with legal document preparation, transcription, proofreading, and electronic filing in New York State and Federal courts. Responsibilities • Prepare, proofread, edit, and format legal documents and correspondence., • Perform electronic filing through NYSCEF and Federal CM/ECF systems., • Transcribe and edit documents from digital recordings., • Upload, organize, and maintain electronic files and records., • Update firm databases and contact information., • Redact confidential information in accordance with court requirements., • Provide general administrative support and assist with special projects as needed. Qualifications • Minimum 2 years of legal secretarial experience., • Experience with NYSCEF and Federal CM/ECF filing systems., • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Outlook, Excel)., • Excellent proofreading, organizational, and communication skills., • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail and confidentiality. Preferred Qualifications • Experience with PerfectLaw software., • Familiarity with New York State and Federal court procedures. This position is also eligible for discretionary bonuses. Final salary wages offered may be outside of this range based on other reasons and individual circumstances.
