Job Description Job Title: HVAC Installer Job Description • This role focuses on installing and hanging sheet metal ductwork for HVAC systems in commercial and industrial construction environments. You will work from ladders, scaffolding, and aerial lifts to install duct systems and assist with HVAC equipment installation while following all safety requirements, building codes, and project specifications., • Seeking individuals with 1+ year of residential or commercial HVAC installations hanging ductwork Responsibilities • Install, hang, and support sheet metal ductwork for HVAC systems in commercial and industrial projects., • Read and interpret blueprints, layout drawings, and installation plans to determine duct routes and installation details., • Measure, cut, assemble, and connect ductwork components to meet design specifications and project requirements., • Install duct hangers, supports, and brackets according to project specifications and industry standards., • Seal ductwork using mastic, tape, and other approved methods to ensure airtight and efficient systems., • Assist with the installation of HVAC equipment, including diffusers, grilles, and registers., • Operate hand tools, power tools, and jobsite equipment safely and efficiently., • Work from ladders, scaffolding, and aerial lifts to perform overhead duct installation and related tasks., • Ensure all work meets quality standards, applicable building codes, and jobsite safety requirements., • Coordinate daily activities with project managers, foremen, and other trades to maintain workflow and resolve field issues., • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area throughout the project., • Handle rigging and material handling tasks to move and position ductwork and related materials as needed., • Provide professional customer service when interacting with site personnel and other stakeholders. Essential Skills • Minimum 2+ years of HVAC installation or sheet metal experience preferred, with demonstrated experience hanging commercial ductwork., • Proven experience installing and hanging commercial ductwork in construction environments., • Ability to read and understand construction drawings, blueprints, and layout plans., • Solid knowledge of HVAC systems, duct layouts, and standard installation practices., • Proficiency with hand tools and power tools commonly used in HVAC and sheet metal installation., • Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding work, including frequent standing, climbing, lifting, and bending., • Comfort working at heights on ladders, scaffolding, and aerial lifts, as well as in various weather conditions., • Reliable transportation to and from job sites and a strong attendance record., • Commitment to construction site safety and adherence to jobsite safety requirements., • Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate measurements, clean installations, and quality workmanship., • Effective teamwork and communication skills to collaborate with project managers, foremen, and other trades., • Basic customer service skills to represent the company professionally on-site. Additional Skills & Qualifications • OSHA 10 certification preferred but not required., • Experience with sheet metal fabrication and installation techniques., • Experience with rigging and material handling for ductwork and HVAC components., • Familiarity with lift operation and working from aerial lifts in a safe and controlled manner., • General mechanical aptitude and experience with mechanical installation in construction settings., • Ability to follow a required personal tool list and bring appropriate tools to the job., • Experience in construction or mechanical trades is beneficial., • Strong organizational skills to maintain a clean and efficient work area. Work conditions may include varying weather, active construction areas, and coordination with multiple trades.
