Position Overview: The Digital Marketplace Merchandising Specialist is a hands-on individual contributor within the Creative Department responsible for the accuracy, completeness, consistency, and timely publication of approved product content and creative assets across Amazon, Walmart, and other retailer platforms for all brands within the American Outdoor Brands portfolio. Reporting to the Creative Director, this role supports portfolio priorities based on business need and works within established brand, creative, and marketplace strategies. The specialist activates new SKUs, syndicates product information through Salsify, builds and maintains Amazon A+ and other enhanced content, conducts catalog audits, resolves routine platform issues, performs keyword research, and reports on digital-shelf health. The role partners with Marketing, Creative, Marketplace, Sales, Product Development, and Legal and Compliance to translate approved product information and creative direction into an accurate, compelling, and consumer-focused marketplace experience. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Own the accuracy, completeness, consistency, and timely publication of approved product content across Amazon, Walmart, and other assigned retailer catalogs for the full brand portfolio., • Execute new SKU setup and manage product information through Salsify and applicable retailer platforms, including data mapping, syndication, publication validation, and escalation of missing or conflicting source information., • Build and maintain Amazon A+ Content and optimize product-detail-page content, including titles, bullet points, descriptions, search terms, attributes, imagery, enhanced content, and approved variations., • Support Sales with content setup, maintenance, and issue resolution for retail partner online marketplaces when action is required., • Conduct recurring catalog audits and resolve routine Item Data Quality issues, suppressions, publication failures, and marketplace support cases; escalate compliance, infringement, unresolved, or high-risk issues., • Execute approved routine catalog maintenance, including variation, category, suppression, and duplicate-listing work; obtain marketplace approval before changes that may materially affect reviews, sales history, discoverability, compliance, or catalog architecture., • Conduct keyword research and review customer feedback, platform data, and competitive content to recommend improvements to discoverability and the consumer shopping experience., • Create marketplace creative requests and collaborate with the Creative Traffic Coordinator, Graphic Designers, and Visual Content Producers to develop and implement approved assets. Complete basic asset updates and occasional original graphics within established creative direction., • Prepare routine content-health reporting, track launch readiness and open issues, and provide catalog context to Marketplace and analytical partners., • Support product launches and Brand Review Council deliverables by presenting content readiness, digital-shelf observations, risks, and implementation recommendations., • Maintain accurate project, audit, support-case, approval, and process documentation in Canto, Hive, and other established systems; recommend practical process improvements., • Perform other related duties as assigned. Education and Experience: • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, merchandising, e-commerce, communications, or related field., • Three or more years of experience in digital merchandising, e-commerce content operations, online marketing, product catalog management, marketplace operations, or a related discipline., • Experience working cross-functionally with Marketing, Creative, Sales, Marketplace, Product Development, Legal and Compliance, or analytics teams., • Experience creating, publishing, or maintaining Amazon A+ Content or comparable enhanced marketplace content. Preferred • Experience with Walmart Marketplace Seller Center or another major retailer content platform., • Experience supporting high-volume, multi-brand, or multi-channel product catalogs., • Experience preparing, adapting, or quality-checking marketplace creative assets., • A passion for the outdoor industry. Technical Skills: • Proficiency with Amazon Vendor Central and Seller Central, including A+ Content, Item Data Quality, listing suppressions, and routine support workflows., • Working knowledge of product information management, product-data mapping, content syndication, publication validation, and catalog maintenance; Salsify experience is strongly preferred., • Working knowledge of marketplace keyword research, search optimization, organic discoverability, and digital-shelf best practices., • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including filtering, sorting, lookup formulas, pivot tables, data validation, and large product-data files., • Ability to interpret retailer creative specifications and complete basic asset preparation; experience with Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Figma is preferred but not required., • Experience with digital asset management and project-management systems; Canto and Hive experience is preferred., • Strong written, verbal, organizational, project-tracking, and cross-functional communication skills. Physical Demands: • Strong at building partnerships, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams., • Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time in front of a computer., • Ability to move about the facility on a regular basis to perform physical activities, such as, but not limited to, lifting heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs. unassisted), bending, standing, climbing, or walking., • Visual and hearing acuity.
