Job Description Job Title: Infant Lead Teacher Location: Little Duckling Daycare II Position Overview: Little Duckling Daycare is seeking a caring, patient, and dedicated Infant Lead Teacher to join our team. The Infant Lead Teacher will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for infants (6 weeks to 18 months). This role requires strong communication skills, a passion for early childhood development, and the ability to partner with families to support each child’s growth. Key Responsibilities: Provide a safe, loving, and developmentally appropriate environment for infants. Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that encourage physical, emotional, cognitive, and social development. Establish consistent routines for feeding, diapering, and napping that meet the needs of each child. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment. Observe, document, and assess children’s growth and development, sharing progress with families regularly. Communicate effectively with parents, caregivers, and colleagues to foster trust and strong partnerships. Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations, health, and safety standards. Supervise and guide assistant teachers or aides within the classroom. Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education preferred). CDA (Child Development Associate) credential or willingness to obtain. Minimum of 1–2 years of experience working with infants in a licensed childcare setting. Knowledge of infant development and best practices in early childhood education. CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain before starting). Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. Genuine love for working with infants and supporting their development. Schedule & Compensation: Full-time position, Monday–Friday.
