Job Description The Entry to Mid-Level Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) provides direct Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services under the ongoing supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or other qualified supervisor. The RBT implements treatment plans, collects data, supports skill-acquisition and behavior-reduction goals, and maintains safe, ethical, and professional client care. This position is intended for individuals beginning a career in ABA, with onboarding, training, coaching, and feedback provided by USDR Behavioral Specialists. Primary Responsibilities: 1. Direct Client Support · Implement individualized ABA treatment programs as written and directed by the supervising BCBA. · Provide individual or group-based services in assigned clinic, school, home, and community settings. · Use approved prompting, reinforcement, task-analysis, and behavior-support procedures with fidelity. · Prepare session materials and maintain an organized, safe, and supportive treatment environment. 1. Data Collection & Treatment Implementation · Collect accurate, objective, and timely data on target behaviors, treatment goals, and client responses. · Follow behavior intervention plans, safety protocols, and clinical instructions as written, and ask for guidance when needed. · Participate in competency checks, supervision, coaching, and required training. 1. Communication & Collaboration · Report client progress, barriers, changes, and safety concerns promptly to the supervising BCBA. · Collaborate professionally with caregivers, school personnel, and team members while remaining within the RBT scope of practice. · Accept feedback, ask questions, and contribute to a respectful and dependable team environment. 1. Documentation & Compliance · Complete session notes and data logs within 24 hours in the CentralReach system. · Protect the accuracy and confidentiality of records in accordance with HIPAA, BACB, payer, and organizational requirements. · Maintain required RBT supervision, credentialing, training, and documentation. 1. Program Quality, Safety & Professional Growth · Participate in safety walkthroughs, emergency drills, incident reporting, and required training. · Use only approved safety, de-escalation, and crisis-response procedures within completed training. · Assist the BCBA with assessments, treatment preparation, and assigned data-collection activities. Qualifications: · Current RBT certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB). · No prior paid ABA experience is required; relevant experience with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred. · Willingness to learn, accept clinical feedback, and follow written treatment and safety procedures. · Basic communication, documentation, data-collection, organization, and problem-solving skills. · CPR and First Aid certification required or obtained within the timeframe established by USDR. · Ability to sit on the floor, bend, stand, move quickly, and lift up to 25 pounds while supporting clients safely. Compensation: Starting Pay: Based on qualifications, experience, and performance tier. Benefits: Eligibility for continuing education support, performance incentives, and 401(k) after 90 days of employment. Work Environment: Schedules may change based on client needs, school-based services, social groups, and staffing coverage. Entry-Level RBTs will receive schedule updates from their supervisor. Lunch periods will remain one hour but may be staggered or occur later than usual. Services may be provided in clinic, school, home, and community settings.
