About the Role: Ready to Eat Break Relief: As an RTE Break Relief Team Member, you’ll play a critical role in keeping production moving efficiently and safely. This position provides break coverage for production support roles while assisting with sanitation, material handling, and daily operations throughout the facility. This is a dynamic position perfect for someone who enjoys variety, physical activity, and working as a part of a high-performing team. You will provide coverage for line support and bin sealer positions during scheduled breaks and as operationally required. This role supports daily production, sanitation, and quality operations by preparing work-in-process (WIP) bins, supporting sanitation activities, and rotating between RTE, RAW, and Sanitation areas as business needs require. This role requires physical capability, flexibility, and strict adherence to food safety, quality, sanitation, and safety standards. All floor employees report directly to their assigned Line Lead. In the absence of the Lead, employees report to the Supervisor. Employees are expected to always follow the chain of command. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: • May perform one or all the following job functions:, • BREAK RELIEF, • Provide break relief for line support and bin sealers, and other non-skilled assigned roles, • This role does not provide break relief for Operators or Line Leads OPERATIONS • Assemble WIP plastic totes and install plastic liners per standard work, • Frequently lift and move up to 50 lbs., maneuver, and stage empty totes weighing up to 120 lbs. with assistance using proper lifting techniques, • Move full WIP bins of meat weighing up to 600 lbs. using manual pallet jacks, • Transport materials safely and efficiently throughout production areas, • Maintain clean, organized, and production-ready work areas JOB ROTATION & ENVIRONMENT • Job rotation is required, • May rotate between RTE, RAW, and Sanitation areas based on operational needs, • Work in cold, wet RAW environments when assigned, • Flexibility to move between tasks and departments is a core expectation SANITATION SUPPORT • Perform end-of-week sanitation duties, including cleaning and sanitizing production lines and equipment, • Follow all sanitation standard work and cleaning procedures, • Follow all chemical handling, cleaning, and safety rules, • Report chemical, equipment, or sanitation safety concerns immediately, • PPE REQUIREMENTS, • PPE is always required while on the production floor, • Required PPE includes gloves, face shields, ear plugs, and chemical-resistant gear as assigned, • Dust masks are always required in RTE areas, • PPE requirements vary between RTE and RAW areas — employees must comply with area-specific requirements, • May perform one or all the following job functions:, • BREAK RELIEF, • Provide break relief for line support and bin sealers, and other non-skilled assigned roles, • This role does not provide break relief for Operators or Line Leads FOOD SAFETY & QUALITY • Understand and uphold Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), • Follow quality specifications and product handling requirements, • Comply with HACCP procedures, including metal detector and X-ray checks, • Support product integrity through proper handling, documentation, and escalation, • Immediately report quality deviations, foreign material concerns, or food safety risks, • Inform management of any food safety or quality issues or of any processes which have become noncompliant with specified requirements, • Follow established programs, policies, and practices to produce safe quality foods that meet regulatory and company requirements, • Maintain accountability to Oberto Brands Food Safety and Quality Principles, • Support the development, implementation, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of SQF Systems, • Perform other duties as assigned by Lead or Supervisor QUALIFICATIONS: • High School diploma or equivalent preferred, • Manufacturing, food production, or sanitation experience preferred but not required, • Manual pallet jack experience preferred, • Willingness to rotate roles and perform sanitation duties, • Familiarity with HACCP (provided through OJT), • Understanding and compliance with all GMPs (provided through OJT), • Understanding and compliance with all personal safety rules (provided through OJT), • Lock-Out Tag-Out (LOTO) training provided on the job, • Food Safety, Quality, Technical, and Regulatory Training as needs determined appropriate, • Ability to read and understand written instructions, procedures, and signage, • Ability to write legibly at a minimum 6th-grade level to complete logs and documentation, • Must be able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions in English at a minimum ESL Level 1, • Ability to communicate effectively with leads and supervisors, • Ability to work with others in a cooperative manner, • Ability to use discretion and judgment, • Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment, • Ability to understand weights and use basic math PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. This employee regularly works with hazardous machinery, materials, chemicals, wet floors and with wet equipment.
