Job DescriptionJob Title: Production Associate – 1st Shift (Davenport)Job Description This role offers the opportunity to join a growing production team at a new Davenport, IA facility, working exclusively on 1st shift. As a Production Associate, you handle a variety of warehouse and production tasks, including pulling copper tubing and pipe, preparing materials with protective coverings, and ensuring products are safely packaged and ready for shipment to major retail customers. You rotate through multiple departments as needed and support the smooth, efficient flow of materials throughout the warehouse. Responsibilities • Complete assigned production and warehouse jobs, tasks, and projects across multiple departments, including cell operations, saw operation, receiving, shipping, and work orders., • Pull copper tubing and pipe accurately for customer shipments, following order specifications and pick lists., • Move pipe to designated pick locations to support efficient order fulfillment., • Pull orders from the system or work orders and stage materials for processing and shipment., • Cover wire or pipe with protective tubing before processing, ensuring materials are properly protected., • Bar code and label pipe and related products clearly and correctly to support inventory tracking and shipping accuracy., • Bundle and wrap pipe securely to maintain product integrity during handling and transport., • Cut pipe according to cut sheets and documented measurements, ensuring precision and adherence to customer requirements., • Segregate and identify scrap material appropriately to support recycling and waste management processes., • Box and wrap finished products for shipment, ensuring safe, correct, and damage-free packaging., • Load outbound shipments, including pallets and bundles, in a safe and organized manner., • Unload incoming trucks when necessary and move materials to appropriate storage or processing areas., • Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of hand tools and machinery, and maintain a clean, organized work area.Essential Skills, • Experience in production or general labor roles within a warehouse or manufacturing environment., • Ability to use basic hand tools and operate production or warehouse machinery safely after training., • Knowledge of or ability to learn shipping and receiving processes, including loading and unloading trucks., • Capability to perform assembly, labeling, packaging, and bundling tasks with attention to detail., • Basic inventory handling skills, including bar coding, labeling, and staging materials., • Physical ability to move, lift, and handle pipe and related materials throughout the shift., • Reliability in maintaining consistent 1st shift hours from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday., • Willingness to work in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment that may be hot in summer and cold in winter.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Prior experience in machine operating, such as saw operation or similar cutting equipment, is beneficial., • Experience with shipping, receiving, loading, and unloading in a warehouse setting is an advantage., • Comfort working with bar coding systems and labeling tools to support inventory and shipping accuracy., • Ability to learn multiple roles and cross-train across departments within 1–3 weeks, depending on individual aptitude., • Strong attention to detail when following cut sheets and order specifications., • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate across departments and support production goals.Why Work Here? Employees work with hand tools, production machinery such as saws, bar coding and labeling equipment, and standard packaging materials. Work is performed on-site during 1st shift hours from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, in a setting that requires safe material handling, consistent movement of pipe and tubing, and adherence to established safety procedures. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Davenport, IA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $16.00/hr.
