Job Description Job Summary The Shop Manager is responsible for the overall success of the shop by leading people, driving financial performance, ensuring operational excellence, and delivering exceptional guest experiences. The Shop Manager owns the day-to-day operation of the business while developing leaders, maintaining company standards, and achieving key performance indicators. Daily Responsibilities and Tasks • Lead all aspects of daily shop operations., • Execute WRC marketing initiatives and lead LSM strategies as an integral part of the local community., • Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, coach, and develop employees., • Conduct performance evaluations and corrective action as needed., • Build a culture focused on hospitality, teamwork, accountability, and excellence., • Develop Shift Leads and Assistant Managers for future growth., • Manage labor, scheduling, payroll, and staffing levels., • Achieve sales, labor, food cost, and profitability goals., • Monitor inventory, ordering, and waste management., • Execute company marketing initiatives and local store marketing strategies., • Ensure food safety, sanitation, security, and operational compliance., • Resolve guest and employee concerns professionally., • Maintain accurate operational reporting and administrative responsibilities., • Communicate business results and operational updates with leadership. Job Qualifications • Proven leadership and team development abilities., • Strong business acumen., • Excellent written and verbal communication skills., • Strong organizational and analytical skills., • Ability to coach, motivate, and hold employees accountable., • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities., • Must have the ability to work minimum 40 hours per week at assigned shop or in shop’s market, including weekends and holidays as needed., • Reliable transportation. Required Education, Certification, or Experience • High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework preferred., • Food Manager Certification (within 30 days if not already certified)., • Three or more years of restaurant, coffee shop, or retail management experience preferred., • Previous experience leading multiple levels of employees., • Experience with scheduling, labor management, inventory, hiring, coaching, and financial performance. Physical Requirements and Schedule • Ability to stand and walk continuously for up to 8 hours., • Frequently bend, reach, kneel, twist, and lift., • Frequently lift and carry up to 30 pounds., • Ability to safely operate espresso machines, grinders, ovens, POS systems, and other cafe equipment., • Ability to work in environments with varying temperatures, including hot equipment and refrigerated storage., • Ability to understand, follow, and communicate verbal and written instructions in a fast-paced environment., • Must be able to work a 40+ hour workweek, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, as business needs require. Managers are expected to regularly work two of the shop's three highest-volume business days each week, typically Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, allowing flexibility to have one peak day off. Peak business days may vary by location., • Regular, reliable attendance and punctuality are essential functions of the position.
