We are seeking an experienced finance professional to help manage and perform the finance and accounting functions for both brands. \n \n About the Role \n \n The Customer Supply Chain (CSC) Manager is responsible for leading the company's integrated business planning process while serving as the operational connector between Sales, Customers, Finance, Operations, Procurement, Manufacturing, Inventory Management, Logistics, and third-party logistics (3PL) partners. This role ensures alignment between demand, supply, inventory, production, and customer fulfillment to maximize service levels, minimize costs, and improve profitability. \n In addition to owning the monthly sales and operations planning process (S&OP), this position serves as the primary operational control point across the order-to-cash process, proactively managing customer service, order fulfillment, inventory visibility, and deduction prevention. The CSC Manager is expected to identify risks before they impact customers, drive cross-functional issue resolution, and continuously improve supply chain performance. \n \n Responsibilities \n Sales & Operations Planning Leadership \n\n • Lead the monthly S&OP and Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process across all business functions.\n, • Develop and maintain rolling demand, supply, production, inventory, and capacity plans.\n, • Facilitate consensus demand planning with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations.\n, • Balance customer demand against manufacturing capacity, raw material availability, labor, and inventory constraints.\n, • Develop scenario analyses and contingency plans for supply shortages, demand changes, and capacity limitations.\n, • Monitor forecast accuracy, bias, inventory health, customer service levels, and operational performance.\n, • Present executive S&OP recommendations including risks, opportunities, and mitigation strategies.\n, • Drive continuous improvement of planning processes, KPIs, reporting, and cross-functional collaboration.\n\n Customer Service & Order Fulfillment (Approximately 40%) \n Customer Order Management \n\n • Serve as the primary day-to-day operational contact for customer order status, fulfillment, shipping schedules, and service-related inquiries.\n, • Provide proactive, timely, and accurate communication regarding:\n, • Order status\n, • Shipment timing\n, • Inventory availability\n, • Delays\n, • Shortages\n, • Substitutions\n, • Carrier updates\n, • Delivery appointments\n, • Build trusted customer relationships through consistent, professional communication.\n, • Partner with Sales to proactively identify and resolve customer issues before escalation.\n\n Demand, Supply & Inventory Visibility \n\n • Maintain end-to-end visibility of customer demand against available inventory, production schedules, inbound materials, and shipping readiness.\n, • Monitor inventory levels to identify shortages, excess inventory, aging inventory, and fulfillment risks.\n, • Coordinate with Production, Procurement, Inventory Control, and Operations to resolve supply constraints.\n, • Translate internal operational updates into customer-ready communications.\n, • Identify recurring planning gaps impacting customer service.\n\n Order Exception Management \n\n • Own the company's order exception management process.\n, • Maintain an active exception log for:\n, • Delayed orders\n, • Short shipments\n, • Missed appointments\n, • Inventory shortages\n, • Fill-rate issues\n, • Documentation gaps\n, • Customer complaints\n, • Drive issue resolution through closure.\n, • Clearly define ownership, action plans, timelines, and escalation paths.\n, • Provide leadership with weekly summaries of key service issues, root causes, customer impact, and recommended corrective actions.\n\n 3PL & Logistics Coordination \n\n • Serve as the primary operational liaison with third-party logistics providers and transportation partners.\n, • Coordinate:\n, • Shipment scheduling\n, • Pickup timing\n, • Delivery appointments\n, • Shipment tracking\n, • Proof of delivery\n, • Carrier communication\n, • Monitor logistics performance and resolve shipping exceptions.\n, • Escalate recurring transportation or warehouse issues to leadership.\n, • Improve communication between customers, carriers, warehouse operations, and internal teams.\n\n Deduction Prevention & Service Performance \n\n • Partner with Finance and Trade Management to reduce non-performance deductions.\n, • Connect fulfillment issues to customer deductions including:\n, • OTIF (On Time In Full)\n, • OTIP\n, • Short shipments\n, • Missed appointments\n, • Delivery failures\n, • Documentation errors\n, • Analyze deduction trends to identify root causes.\n, • Recommend process improvements that reduce service failures and improve customer compliance.\n, • Help distinguish true trade spend from preventable operational leakage.\n\n Experience \n\n • 5–8+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Demand Planning, S&OP, Customer Supply Chain, Customer Service, or Operations Planning.\n, • Experience within consumer packaged goods (CPG), food manufacturing, or consumer products strongly preferred.\n, • Experience managing cross-functional planning processes.\n, • Experience working with retail customers, distributors, and 3PL providers.\n, • Experience with ERP, MRP, and advanced planning systems.\n\n Technical Skills \n\n • ERP systems (e.g., Acumatica, SAP S/4HANA, Oracle NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics 365)\n, • Advanced Microsoft Excel\n, • Business Intelligence tools (e.g., Microsoft Power BI)\n, • Demand planning and forecasting software\n, • Inventory management systems\n, • Transportation management systems\n, • Customer order management platforms\n\n \n Pay range and compensation package \n \n Salary range $90,000-$115,000 annually. New hires typically start at the mid-to low end of the range.
