Speech and Language Therapist Special school in rural West SussexPart-Time | 3 Days per Week | Term Time OnlySalary: £31,000 (dependent on experience and qualifications) Are you a passionate Speech and Language Therapist looking to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and young people? An SEMH specialist school is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Speech and Language Therapist to join their multidisciplinary team. This is a rewarding opportunity to work within a specialist SEMH and SEND setting, supporting learners with a range of communication needs, including Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN), Developmental Language Disorder (DLD), Autism and other neurodivergent profiles. About the Role Working closely with teaching staff, families and therapeutic colleagues, you will play a key role in promoting a communication-supportive environment across the whole school. You will assess, diagnose and support learners' communication needs through a combination of direct intervention, consultation and collaborative working. You will adopt a neuro-affirming, trauma-informed approach, recognising the important relationship between communication, emotional regulation and behaviour.
