Our Southern Counties Division located in Redill is looking to recruit a Finance Assistant to join the Divisions Finance team. This role is a part-time role for 28 hours over 4 days.The RoleThe role of Finance Assistant involves assisting in the production of accurate and timely financial transactions and reports in addition to maintaining the businesss accounting records. This will include, purchase ledger duties, and ad hoc tasks within the finance department.Principal accountabilities of the Finance Assistant role include:Assist with other purchase ledger duties, including; Processing invoices against ordersProcessing divisional expensesManaging delivery notes from siteManaging invoices for approvalCarry out monthly statement reconciliationsCarry out mid-month and month end payment runs, ensuring compliance with the Prompt Payment CodeProcess sub-contractor invoices and certifications (self-billing) and set up and verify new sub-contractors with HMRCProcessing House sales journals and cancellations,Collating data for lunar payroll (if applicable)Set up and process payments, post nominal ledger journals as necessary, cashbook entries, sales invoices, manage the sales ledger, reconcile sales receipts and conduct bank reconciliationsWeekly cash forecast and movement reportsProvide cover for critical tasks during leave periods and other ad hoc tasks within the finance departmentCarry out any other reasonable tasks as directed by the Divisional and Group Finance Management Teams.Experience, Qualifications and SkillsExperienceExperience of working within a similar role will be preferredExperience of working with accountancy software.Working knowledge of COINS would be desirableQualifications and TrainingGCSE Maths and English Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent)AAT qualification is desirableSkills and AptitudeGood interpersonal skills.Excellent organisation and administration skills, including good attention to detailAbility to work on own as well as part of a teamWorks effectively to deadlines and competently works on multiple tasks simultaneouslyProficient IT skills along with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) and the ability to adapt to new systemsCommitted to diversity and inclusionThe Role and Working ConditionsWilling to be flexible in respect to day to day duties and hours workedOffice based rolePlease note this role is subject to a basic DBS and financial pre-employment checksThis role is a part time role for 28 hours over 4 days.In return we can offer you:Competitive salaryCompetitive annual bonusContributory pension scheme25 days holiday, plus bank holidaysAccess to discounts and benefits portalShareSave SchemeCycle to Work SchemeLife assuranceHoliday Purchase SchemeEarn and Learn OpportunitiesWe reserve the right to close this vacancy if a large volume of applications are received.TPBN1_UKTJ
