ppThe New Brunswick Youth Orchestra, Inc. operates Canada’s largest El Sistema‑inspired program. Our Teaching Artists are a passionate and dedicated team working to transform the lives of children across New Brunswick through music. /p pThis position offers the opportunity to directly contribute to our mission: inspiring children and youth to achieve their full potential through learning and performing orchestral music. /p h3Position Details /h3 pbPosition: /b Teaching Artist (TA) /p pbSchedule: /b Monday to Friday, September to June, plus summer camp programming /p pbBase Salary: /b $35,000 per annum /p h3Benefits /h3 ul liBalance – through paid vacation that follows the school calendar /li liCoverage – through supplemental health and dental insurance /li liFuture Planning – via matched RRSP contributions /li liProfessional Growth – with paid Professional Development days and funding available /li /ul h3Duties /h3 ul liTeaching beginner/advanced level children from Monday to Friday each week (September – June, following the New Brunswick public school system calendar) /li liTeaching instrumental technique, musicianship, and Sistema NB repertoire /li liProviding a safe, fun, and healthy learning environment of musicianship at the highest level and being a role model to every student /li liSetting and maintaining high standards for students’ musical and social behaviour /li liFacilitating the daily set‑up and clean‑up of classrooms /li liProviding 36 hours of individual lessons for Sistema students outside of class hours /li liCommunicating student progress to parents/guardians regularly and participating in parent engagement activities /li liPreparing, assisting, and/or teaching at the centre’s performances, summer camp and occasional special events such as student recruitment /li liAttending staff meetings and professional development days /li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 ul liAn accomplished artist on your instrument, with formal training evidenced by a university degree, diploma, or conservatory education, or demonstrated equivalent experience /li /ul /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
